Consulate Review: Chennai, India
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 1, 2010
Embassy Review : What can i say since everything on that day went perfect. My interview was scheduled at 9.00 AM in the morning. Since i did not submit my documents to VFS, it took a little longer for me to finish the first stage i.e. submitting the documents. Indian guy who collected the documents was very very friendly and very co-operative. I was inside the consulate by 9.15 AM and finished submitting the documents by 10.15 AM. Then i had to wait for an hour for the actual interview by VO. It started at 11.15 AM and lasted for about 45 minutes. Since i had very long time relationship with her it took 45 minutes to describe the entire thing. VO was also very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. All went well and i heard the golden words "Your visa has been approved and you will receive your passport in next 7 working days."
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
