Xicuai~

I agree.... but I am totally not going to complain. Now just waiting for the interview date. I can't wait for this step to be over and then not have to worry about it for 2 years.

It's the first time in 24 years that I haven't been working or in college... It's like an extended holiday, so I am making the most of it :D

I have 3 children so have plenty to do, nice not to have all of the other stuff to do with it! Yes you can volunteer, it isn't work and it isn't paid. I enquired about reading to residents at one of the local residential homes for the elderly, and have been asked to come in daily for as much time as I can spare. It definitely helps to get out and meet people. I am sure it won't be too much longer and I will be itching to do more!

I still cannot see my case online yet, so at least it gives me an excuse to call them again sometime next week.

if you haven't done so, try to call them. It worked in my case. My bio letter was issued on the day I called them.

I suppose I can do that. But when I sign into the USCIS page to check my husband's status, it says "We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application."

So I guess we'll give it a little bit more time.

Hi Xiucai, how did you expedite the fingerprint notice when you called the USCIS? I called today but they simply told me that "you were put on the waiting list and a notice will be sent to you as soon as the local office appointment becomes available." This is very frustrating. I submitted the whole package on January 14th and have been waiting ever since. :(

Congrats!! That is really quick.

well, did you only talk to the person initially answered the phone, or did they transfer you to the second level (for lacking a better word)? For me, the lady initially answered the call couldn't find my record, so I was transferred. I was told the similar thing, but they did issue my appointment that day. Who knows, at least calling wouldn't hurt. Good luck!

I got our RFE letter in the mail today and it's exactly what I thought it would be for. We didn't include proof of our joint-sponsor's citizenship. I didn't even read about it being necessary until I saw it in someone's signature on VJ after sending out the AOS packet. Oh well, it's an easy fix, I'll send it out tomorrow and hopefully it'll put us back on track by the time we get to his biometrics appointment.

Any news, birdygirl?

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

So my case was transferred to CSC and today the online status shows that The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office

Any idea what does it mean?

My guess is they're now working on your case in CSC and you just have to sit and wait for them to approve it now. Just my take on it anyway.

Made a copy of my joint sponsor's birth certificate and mailed it off today. Hope it's good enough proof of citizenship for them.
