Just a little hope that I thought I would share....I peeked over into the Dec filers forum and some of them received their approvals this month! So....maybe just maybe we will receive ours in March :)

Ooh, yes please.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

The biometrics went good but I didn't notice that in the biometrics appointment letter my alien number was completely different than the one in my K1 visa which I wrote in every form...I told the clerk it but he insisted that in order that isn't any problem they would write down the alien number specified in the biometrics appointment letter...

Did it happened due to the name change?

I have to call USCIS to know about this... grrrrrrr

Has it happened to any of you?

Thank you and good luuuck! :)

Hi Seven,

No it would not happen at all, name change or no name change. My wife changed her name after marriage and when we applied for the SSN. Further we filed her AOS in her married name, not her maiden name under which she received her K-1 visa.

I would suggest if you are close to a USCIS office (typically separate from a USCIS ASC where Bio is done) that you call for an INFOPASS appointment. You should discuss this in person until you have only one A# or USCIS does something to fix this.

Good luck all

I still can't see my EAD or AP online either. AOS was transferred to CSC on 14th Feb. It's frustrating that the EAD or AP isn't showing online. How many others are in the same boat?

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.

Hello to everybody who was interested in my post about the 2 different alien numbers (i found out during the biometrics but the clerk insisted in putting the wrong number since it was the one being in the appointment letter)

My bad I didn't find out before because double checking the NOA1's, my Alien number was right in the EAD NOA1 and wrong in the AOS NOA1. The same wrong number appeared in the biometrics appointment letter for both cases...

I called today to USCIS and told them...they took notes of all what happened and told me that if I haven't heard from them (through mail, email or phone) within 30 days, I should call them again regarding the Alien number. They told me as well that it wouldn't affect in the process of my case (for example a delay). (Gotta say that the person from USCIS on the phone has been really kind and helpful)

Hopefully even though this happened to me (and it is unbelievable because it was a whooole different number) my case runs the more smoothly as possible.

If it happens to some of you don't doubt to call USCIS right away after finding out!!!

Wish you the best luck!!!

For those that can not see their EAD or AP online....I can see mine but nothing has been touched or updated and all that is mentioned is that they have been received back in Jan. So even though its annoying that you can't see them...its possible that they haven't moved anywhere anyways...at this rate I'm inclined to think some of us may get our green card before EAD or AP!

That's good news Seven that it won't cause a delay...sorry about the mistake. If it makes you feel better for 27 years a have been called X, and now USCIS decided to change my name and call me XY...they moved my middle name to make a two name first name.....so now my SSN is XY and everything else that follows will be XY.....I think my husband is more annoyed than me he says it makes me sound like Im from the south....
