One of my recent fellow Aussies filers got her green card before the other 2 this month. She was a December filer.

Re the government shut down its not looking great and has happened twice before. Once for 5 days, once for 3 weeks. Is over budget arguments apparently and all government workers will be stood down and not paid so no work - and that includes USCIS. Apparently most years they "fix" the argument at the last minute so fingers crossed!!

Man If I could get my green card in March I would be ecstatic (sp?)!!! Sooner I get worker the better I will be. This home alone thing is making me go insane...no car...no job...and not allowed going outside till its about 50 degrees F (dr orders) :(

Is odd - I've worked every day since I was 16 years old (barring weekends and vacations of course) and I thought have a little chill out time while waiting for AOS would be wonderful! Emmmmmm NO - was bored out of my skull within 3 weeks lol.

And to make it worse (in a good way) I decided to defy all previous medical predictions and get pregnant 2 weeks off the plane - so even if when I can work now it will be doubtful I'll get anything until after the baby is born :S Grrrrrr but yay but grrrrr lmao :D

My new best friend is the library

Yeah I was thinking of making a trip to the library here in a bit. I have to wait until its warm or an afternoon when I can borrow the car. I have borrowed all (but the 5th) Harry Potter book from my hubby's brother so Ive been reading them...Im just about to start #3 we also have quite an extensive DVD collection 300+ so there's that too. Congrats on the baby!! We aren't taking any chances right now, I want to wait at least a year or two....Hopefully I will receive my notification in the mail today about the transfer to CSC....

Is there any other Jan filer not able to find their case online either? After I did FP yesterday, I still was not able to see my case status on USCIS's website today.

Still nothing online for either.

Finally I received the biometrics notice yesterday! It's a painful 39 days waiting! But I got it~

I also successfully did my biometrics walk-in today at a difference ASC location. Hope things will go smoother from now on.

My wife had her Bio today, the scheduled day. No big deal. Now the question is how long to EAD or Green Card from Bio appt.? It seems like there is no January filer with a notice after Bio. Is there someone ?

Also not happy about a possible Government shutdown. But we did have them occasionally when the Terminator was arguing with the California legis;ature over the budget.

Yay, my husband got his biometrics letter today! Exactly 30 days after receiving his NOA1 in the mail. His appointment is on March 21 at 9:00 am. That is perfect, it gives me the three weeks in advance I need to request time off from work, so I can drive my husband to Portland for his appointment. Yay, I'm happy. :D It's a five hour drive to Portland but we'll make a little two day trip out of it.

Happy to hear it, birdy! We had his bio appointment today and it was nice, apart from me having to run out in the pouring rain to fill the meter up because it only allows for an hour at a time and we waited well over an hour and we got there EARLY. Once he was actually called, it went by very fast with no problems. Now we relax and wait, finally.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Well got my biometrics done today & i arrived there early as i didn't want to hang around til late afternoon for my appointment. The Orlando office wasn't busy at all as i was the only one there. It was all done within 10mins. Now waiting for the next part.. Just glad we are all getting there. ;0)

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.
