Did you received ur EAD card?

Hi there,

I haven't received my EAD yet but expecting it any day now!! It's no use now to have it as the greencard came in before it!! Now the start of the job hunting!!

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.

TIMELINE

NOA1 received: 07/01/10

NOA2 received: 13/04/10

NVC received: 16/04/10

Left NVC: 19/04/10

Consulate Received: 21/04/10

WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!! I got my GREENCARD today!!! Well impressed with the card & you get an envelope which protects your card to prevent wireless communication with it.

Congratulations!!!

alright it looks like we were the first couple to get approved WITH an interview. Our interview was this morning. Arrived at 10:15 for a 11am appointment. They were running about 45 minutes late..... so it was just time to wait.

The interview was pretty painless, asked a bunch of questions..... all from our application, like address, names, parents' names, etc

Then asked how we met, when/where we went on our first date, how he asked me to marry him. Then he asked for photos, he looked over 19 photos from the time since he arrived until today, we explained them as he went through them. Didn't want to keep them. Then asked for anything to prove we live together. Gave him a copy of our lease, cell phone bills, electricity bills, bank statements, and copies of our health insurance.

Overall it was VERY painless. We were a bit worried we were going to get the crazy interview, because at our embassy interview the guy said, "there are many flags here that I could use to hold up your application, but I won't today". So we were really prepared.

He congratulated us and told us the next step in 2 years then 3 years after that about becoming a citizen.

I think the whole interview was probably 30 minutes max.

Congratulations!! Ours is on the 24th. Let's hope it can also go smoothly...

Got EAD card in the mail yesterday. It's a combined card for EAD and AP!!! :dance:

02/22/2011 - Day 41 - Received interview letter in the mail

03/10/2011 - Day 57 - EAD & AP approved

03/19/2011 - Day 66 - EAD & AP "combined" card received

03/24/2011 - Day 71 - Interview, Green card approved

Peter got the EAD Card today. He couldn't stop looking at it. He'd look at it, show my mom and step-dad, put it in his wallet.. wait a little bit, take it out, look at it, put it back in his wallet.. then look at it again. Too cute. Like a kid with a pass to a candy store. :P

My husband had his biometrics appointment yesterday morning. We made a fun little trip out of going to Portland. Now it's just time to wait... Hopefully my husband's EAD card will be put into production soon.

My EAD went into production just under 3 weeks after the biometrics which I thought was quick for USCIS :D Hope yours goes as quick!!!!!
