Hey Bobby-- we did receive a letter from the NVC it said that they had received our petition and the letter was to let us know that within a week they'd forward it to the consulate they also gave us a case number to use with the consulate .. I'm not sure when this was received, because it was sent to our lawyer, but by the time he had scanned it and sent it to me, our case was already at the consulate.

So I'm sure something will be coming soon to you!

Good luck, we're all almost there!

Ahhhh that's *probably* why I have received nothing from NVC, yet my fiance already received his Packet 3 and sent it back. NVC stuff apparently goes the lawyers....mine which did NOT scan and email to me.....or even let me know at all. Grrrrr

I had no luck with the NVC until I received a letter from them stating that my case had been forwarded to the Embassy. Make sure if you call NVC talk to a real person not the automated system that seems to not work very well.. Good luck!!!

lee&jeniebee,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I spoke to "real people" at NVC the 3 times I called. The last guy told me my case is under "additional processing", whatever that means.

My USCIS experience was confusing because I got 2 conflicting email statuses about my NOA2 and a "real person" (tier 2) who told me she couldn't tell what my status was because they were having computer issues that day, but from what she could see, my case was not adjudicated yet :D But a few days later I called NVC and got my case number, then a couple days later I got my NOA2 in the mail.

For now, I'm waiting for my case to be sent out of NVC to the consulate, and hopefully I'll receive a letter like you did :)

DizzyLox and all fellow December filers who are ahead of me, can you please tell me if any of you got an email or letter from NVC? The last document I received was my NOA2 in the mail.

This is my 10th day at NVC. I called NVC last night and they have not sent my case over to the consulate.

My congratulations to all who are ahead of me!! :)

I got a letter from the NVC but I got it well after we were already at the consulate. I called the NVC to find out if it had left yet, then I called DOS to confirm.

Hi Guys! I have been wondering in the desert of Eastern Oregon for a week with my 15 year old son, seriously we had great fun! Also we have managed to book Jenie Bee's interview for July 6th, later than I hoped for but at least we have a date to look forward to. Now she just has to survive the medical exam and all should be good! Okay, now I am off to research how to schedule the medical exam!!

It's funny I remember a few months ago coming to our thread like 100 times a day, also checking Igor's list, visiting the portal page etc.. Now everything is moving so quickly, seems like I barely have time!!! Does anyone else feel this way?? It's so exciting!!!

Yes, I live way up in Thunder Bay, the 'forgotten' part of Ontario. Packet 4 was delivered via Canada Post yesterday,I was expecting an email...go figure??? I was quite surprised and lucky, my daughter however may have to wait for her birthday gift, which I mailed via Canada Post...silly me!

Michael also got a copy of Packet 4 in his mailbox today...now we have 2 copies!

That's awesome. At least one of us will get it then, not to mention the US postal system is way faster than ours to begin with! This whole postal strike still baffles me.

Good Morning everyone,

I am double checking everything, like I always do! I think if I could have opened our sealed petition, and sealed packet 3 to check one more time I would have! I tell you, this process makes temporary crazy people out of us

My question of the day is for Question 11 on the I-134 form did you all follow the example forms and leave the boxes blank (I intend, do not intend) and in the line below type in N/A K1 visa process for permanent residence.I noted on other threads people checked intend and below wrote comments such as 'fully support so the beneficiary will not become a public charge'.

I bought a sturdy accordian type file and have everything neatly labeled and placed so documents are at my fingertips if the consulate officer asks. This will also come in handy for AOS.

Have a nice day,

Lise

I put he will be my husband. I intend to fully support my husband until the rest of my life. As non-official as it sounds, that's the truth. So that's waht I put. I'm sure they've seen crazier.
