At what age did you come to realize that God/Devil/Heaven/Hell/Angels/Demons are all man-made fairy tales?

I would rather put my faith with pHd's, geniuses, scientists, educated people that are purely brilliant than your average pastor that would face stiff competition if they went on the show "are you smarter than a 5th grader".

Why are the ancient religions considered mythology now and the main modern religions are considered credible? There were no video cameras or tape recorders back in those days. If Jesus (a jew) was really performing godly miracles then, trust me, every jew would have known about it in a matter of hours. Yet the jews obviously weren't buying it.

There hasn't been a sighting in over 2000 years so why would I put my faith in something that old? Back then they thought the world was flat and tiny. They didn't know what gravity was. I'm sure they barely knew your basic kindergarten mathematics.

It's very suspicious that God was around thousands of years ago communicating with the religious but nobody has heard a peep from him in 10s of centuries. We are talking about billions of humans over 1000s of years and not one has ever heard or seen God. Unless of course your proof of God is that he had a slow day and sent a tow truck driver to jump your car when it was stalling out in a parking lot or that you had a near death experience in 2002 (the self proclaimed proof of God that was shared earlier in this thread).

I am sure you understand that this is a theory that also has many other alternate theories including different bag bang theories. The whole scientific knowledge to date can be used to explain any or most of the theories so far. Primrose actually came up with this many decades ago and right now is being shown to maybe not be as he says with more recent observations since he came up with this.

All we can go by as proof is the Holy Books. Lets take a look at some passages and try to determine if this God would tolerate my postings. I think if this God was true then I'd have been eaten by my dad a few years back!

God has spoken to many over the centuries and continues to do to this day. If any choose not to believe that then that is OK for them. To pooh pooh others faith is just being close minded. God does not mind that we question him at all and even welcomes it. Science is there to help us conquer our fears but it can never upend our faith. My brother also may not believe in God as I do but I love him regardless. I only try to guide him to help him be a good man not to change him. He has to come to God on his own.

In '01, I had a near death experience and I realized that an after-life exists, a third eye is for real, I learned about astral-projection (firsthand) and that Athiests don't know much after all.

You are of course entitled to believe what you want, but I read an article once that postulated that "near death experiences" always happen to people who KNOW they're about to die, or think they are, not to anyone who was just "BAM". The theory was that people simply "dream" about the afterlife, or what they expect to see.

Astral projection well, that's easily explained by someone telling you about what they did at a certain time while "near death" and you waking up and recounting what you heard. Or not them telling you but telling someone else in the same room etc etc.

Obviously like I said, you're entitled to believe what you want but there you go.

These are quotes from the old testament. He had a covenant with them that they failed to do as he commanded. He was angry at them and punished them severely. He also said he would not be this severe in the future. Now lets go to the future when he sent his son to show us the way and how to find him through him. He has given all who want to find him a new covenant and if we wish we can if we want come to him. If you choose to not come to God in this way then that is your choice.

Does this faith of yours extend to climatologist PhDs, geniuses and scientists? Or only to cosmologists?

I'm with you in sharing a basic reliance in science as our only rational hope of understanding our universe. I just don't see the conspiracy demons in climate science that so many on the right here do. If the scientific method can be relied upon for the mysteries of the cosmos, why not the processes of our atmosphere and environment?
