Oh I am tired of waiting as well. I just really hope to get my EAD card by Feb.

i know that other VJ memebrs said that online tracking system is not very realiable , but with me it says that

* Customer Portfolio Insert Failed

* Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the application receipt number.

and I did my biometrics on Dec 20! anyone else is not able to log in? and i think only two people got their EAd card so far from Nov. filers?

Kinda funny how glued we get to these case updates. Before the technology was able to check the case online, we would just be sitting pretty waiting for something in the mail. Instead we get paranoid

We were sent separate letters for biometrics. First letter received was for AOS biometrics, and the second 1 or 2 weeks later was for the EAD. Yes having to do your biometrics again would be a delay

Sent my RFE yesterday. Just so anyone who gets RFE knows, my RFE was sent to a PO Box in Missouri and Fedex/UPS won't deliver to a PO Box; only USPS does and it takes two days even for Express Post.

August 09 2007---- Enter U.S on F -1 ( graduate school)

February 16 2009 - August 2010---- on pre-completion OPT ( while writing my thesis)

August 2010--- graduated from grad school

August 2010-February 16 2011--- on post- completion OPT

My AOS timeline:

Nov 20 2010--- got married!! :) sent our AOS package to Chicago Lockbox.

Nov 22 2010--- package recived with my AOS (EAD, AP,I-130)

Dec 8 2010--- checks cashed for both AOS and I-130 and recived email and text notification ( 16 emails and 16 texts!wow!)

Dec 10 2010--- hard copy of NOA1 for AOS, I-131,I-130, I-765 recived via USPS

Dec 18 2010--- recived BIometrics appt. letter for Jan 7, 2011.

Dec 20 2010--- biometrics done, walk in

Feb 4 2011--- email notification that my EAD card has been ordered.sweet!

Got a text message from USCIS yesterday that our case has been transferred to a local USCIS office. A week ago we received a letter from them that it was transferred to California Service Center for faster processing. Its very confusing. Anyone here who is on the same boat?

don't worry I would say, go thru your copied package and check your anwsers. Did you go on any trips together? did you attend any events together? any postcards and invitations addres to you both? congratulations? lease? photos? even little things like gym memebrship, do you have state id with the same addresses? maybe letters from you friends will help? did you join any clubs togheter? family phone plan?

don't worry about SSN, but i am prettty sure thata at this point you can apply for it as long as you have you Notice of Action(I think that;s what I read on VJ forum omwhere, but I am not 100%sure)

Got a text message from USCIS yesterday that our case has been transferred to a local USCIS office. A week ago we received a letter from them that it was transferred to California Service Center for faster processing. Its very confusing. Anyone here who is on the same boat?

Are you sure it says a "local" USCIS office? Or just "a USCIS office"? Many people get an update a week after transfer. It just means the file physically arrived at CSC and they've resumed processing. The first notice was from when they mailed it. This is from when it was received there. Mine said "The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office."

I'm the USC petitioner.

Thank you for the info slangofoil. It says "at a USCIS office" not "a local USCIS office". Oh that's great. Did you receive the interview letter already? Ive read from some posts here that there is a greater chance that you will not have an interview anymore if your case is transferred to CSC.

Try doing a search in the section one up from Filing Progress....."adjustment of status (green card) from family based visas". This question seems to come up nearly every week so you'll probably gather a lot from there.

I recieved a letter from USCIS today for my interview scheduled for

Feb 7th,2011

Im a bit nervous though because i did not recieve my EAD so theres no way for me to get a SS# and be put under bills, even if i do get it lets say next week it takes two weeks to recieve the SS# in the mail

Online it says my files have not been touched since 11/23
