Hello,

My advice: Do not rely (too much) on the status check over at USCIS.com website as they are not that reliable. I received my interview appointment letter last weekend and it didn't show up in the status check at USCIS.com website.

Just keep on checking your mailbox. :)

11.15.2010 --- I-130 & I-485 packages sent

11.17.2010 --- I-130 & I-485 packages delivered in Chicago, IL (confirmed by Delivery Confirmation/Receipt Return)

11.22.2010 --- Applications received by USCIS (received two set of text/email messages)

11.22.2010 --- Checks cashed

11.26.2010 --- I-797C, NoA for both I-130 & 1-485 (received mail notifying that the package had been received by USCIS)

11.26.2010 --- I-797C, NoA for ASC Appointment Notice (received mail notifying of my appointment to take Biometrics taken)

11.26.2010 --- TOUCHED

12.08.2010 --- Biometrics appointment (3 minutes)

12.16.2010 --- RFE letter received in mail (I-693 form done by civil surgeon was in wrong revision date form)

12.18.2010 --- RFE letter along with correct revision date I-693 form mailed

Yes exactly. I'm hoping it won't hold up my AP for too long. Chinese New Year is approaching and my family is expecting me. I might need my husband to Fedex the AP to Vancouver but on the other hand I think it's risky.

Just a heads up. Don't leave the country without AP. I've just been reviewing the instructions for AP (trying to figure out if and when I can risk booking a flight home :)), read the following and thought of you:

"3. E. If you travel before the advance parole document is issued, your application will be considered abandoned if:

1. You depart the United States"

So basically you can't leave and then have your hubby FedEx you your AP if it arrives after you leave the US. You need to have it in hand before you leave.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks Ms Jess. Yes I aware that and that's why I'm still holding on to purchase a ticket. I won't leave the country unless I'm sure AP is approved. If it's approved close enough to Feb 3 I will book my ticket, fly back home, and ask my hubby to send the AP to me. I think I won't need it on hand on my way out. I need it on my way back. Correct?!
