Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : July 23, 2010
Embassy Review : 5:30am Arrived at US Embassy, went to K1/K3 section showed my appointment letter and instructed to take a seat
6:30am Gate opens (Different line for IV/IMV and seafarers)Went through inspection then followed the arrows for Immigrant Visa. Inside, the guard will guide you on what to do next. Fall in line to the booth where you have give you forms 156, 156k and 157 together with the blue BDO receipt and make sure to attached your photo to form 156. After submitting, the lady will give you number.
7:30am My name was called to window 44 for pre-screening. Pre-screener asked me the following:
Name
Age
Petitioner's name
Divorce? how many times?
Then asked for my form I-134 and ITR 2009 and some pictures. Then told me to wait outside.
8:30am My name was called to fall in line to window 33 for finger scanning. The Black guy will ask for your name and date of birth.
9:25am My number appeared on window 44. The CO told me to raise hand and swear then asked me the following:
Petitioner's Name
My Age
Divorce? How Many times?
Any wedding plans?
Then most of the time scanned our files, returned our pictures which i gave to prescreener then said " I think there is nothing wrong granting you a Visa" and told me to wait for my name to be called.
9:35am My name was called to fall in line to window Y. the guy gives us instructions. Went to air21 booth fill out the Shipping Information Form and pay.
Base on my experience, I better suggest to smile and be friendly, they will treat you nice like they are to me.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
