Thanks everybody for their response! Yeah you're right I'm not wasting my time on somebody who wants to commit immigration fraud because they think they are helping their sister.

Another aspect you might want to consider, and I'm not saying he is doing this, but sometimes men will create lies to be with another woman. Sick, sick disgusting lies.

Worst case scenario: If he's down there now and has access to your joint account, you might want to consider separating finances just in case. There are a lot of VJ posts about people being conned despite everything seeming perfectly and it's made me realize that everyone in love needs to be very careful.

On the positive side of things: I hope everything works out well for you and if you two are meant to be together that he gives up on this bad idea and gets his a$$ home.

If you have for sure decided to go your own way then the things that make me feel better are the ideas that we don't have to settle for unhappiness, and you have to take care of YOU.

Sorry but seeems you HavE an idiot as your boyfriend. Of all persons his sister, the sister is senseless too. In this day when every thing is checked for legality. This guy neeeds help and yea you ought to listen to the others and consider if you want a bird brain as your boyfriend. He is silly and the directives given by others puts him at risk to kicked out the country and miss "wifey" to be banned. It's this kinda stupid makes the visa process harder for every one else who are real and who will do the right thing...sucks and I hope they get caught.

Let's focus on being supportive. We don't know the whole story. This woman is not dumb, her boyfriend probably isn't dumb either and they are both in a bad situation right now.

Proceed with caution Original Poster. If you are getting a bad feeling about things then things have the potential to end badly.

Just a thought to consider and I am not sure if it would be relevant or not...

Is the OP potentially going to get in trouble since she lives with him? Even if she leaves him, if she knows about it and doesn't report it, are there potentially repercussions for her for being an "accomplice"? Your boyfriend is committing a crime, and my main concern for you at this point is to keep yourself from being affected by his very wrong decisions.

Well, harboring a criminal comes to mind.

And aside from the heavy criminal aspects of this, I wonder how these two newlyweds will provide the proof required for the ROC two years later. Perhaps the "boyfriend" who is now married to another woman who -- only on his own account -- is his sister, will need to change his address and his bank account, perhaps move out. Heck, maybe it's just an exit strategy for him, nothing else.

Whatever the truth or reasons behind them, I could not share my bed with someone who would marry his own sister. Wonder what the wedding night will be like . . .

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Ok...you said he went to the Caribbean right?...well...if its Jamaica,Haiti or the Dominican Repbulic, the U.S. consulates there take a more deeper look than other countries due to the high fraud, PLUS the waiting list is ages for an interview for one of those reasons of fraud. Sad but true.

I understand he is trying to help her out, BUT to do it that way is not the right way. He should wait until he becomes a U.S. citizen, and then petition for her, even though it might take longer, but hey, at least the both of them wont have to be looking over their shoulder everyday for the rest of their lives.

Other option is visit visa for her for a temporary period upto 6 months. If she gets 10 years multiple entry visit visa, she can come and go as many times as she wants.

Sadly this isn't made up, I wish it was, thank you for all your input , you guys have provided a lot of good points. I don't support it or condone it, and I'm cutting my ties if he doesn't make the right decision because I see this is a real serious ordeal.

You are doing the right thing, painful though it may be. If you stay with somebody who does this kind of stuff, it will eventually drag you down as well. It's clear from this post that you aren't that type.

This ain't gonna fly and you better be nowhere in the scene when the sh!t does hit the fan.

He is risking his own residency, a permanent ban from the US and honestly, he sounds stupid if he thinks it's that easy.

This isn't gonna work. Not if he is from a relatively high-fraud country and I'd say any country in Caribbean is probably on that list.

If I were you, I'd report his 'strategy' to ICE if he seriously plans to go through with this.

It's wrong, illegal and immoral and there's no way in hell I'd ever be in a relationship with someone who'd engage in such deplorable (even if well-intentioned) activity.

to clarify the wait time for an interview in jamaica is 1-2 months, relatively quick.

If this is not a troll, dump boyfriend and move on.

This is by its very definition immigration fraud. It is a serious crime punishable by a $250,000 fine, 5 years in prison, loss of residency, deportation and a permanent ban from the US.

BTW in the US it is also crime to know of or witness a felony crime and not report it. If he has not done anything yet but still plans to do so, cut all ties and walk away. If he has then you could be in trouble if you do not report it.

This is one situation where you should think with your head and not your heart.

Good luck.
