hello friends.

is it okay to pay for the AOS I-485 with a personal check or does it have to be a money order?

and if money order, how do we get the 1010 dollars on one? since the maximum a money order can be is $1000?

thanks!!

Personal check is perfectly ok - you get to see when the check is cashed.

It seems to be running from 4-6 months to get your GC right now.

Wow really?? That's not normal at all. I suggest you make and Infopass appointment to find out what's going on. They're supposed to be sent out within 2-4 weeks of receiving your file.

We called and logged a service request. Our nearest ASC is over 3 hours away so it is not all that easy to just pop in for an infopass :( Hopefully we get a response to the service request this week, but it can take up to a month!!

hello friends.

is it okay to pay for the AOS I-485 with a personal check or does it have to be a money order?

thanks!!

If you pay by personal check it is much easier to see if the check has been cashed.

If you pay by money order you probably want to split the I485/biometrics fee, so $930/$80. Just to avoid confusion. ;)

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
