Well...I'm a little confused. If we submitted I-864 of my husband and co-sponsor with initial package, do we need to bring just originals of what sent OR for this year taxes transcripts with new I-864s?

You don't need to submit I-864 again. You have to bring it to the interview only if you didn't prepare the I-864 with the 2009 tax returns. I believe that's what it says in the interview letter ('unless already submitted').

Well you gotta remember that some people choose to only include a marriage license as proof of marriage, some "forgot" to include the medical and didnt get an RFE for it, and others have had employment changes since the submission of the AOS such as losing/gainin a new job... therefore, it would be wise for the USCIS to ask for a copy of a new Affidavit...

In my case, these documents (medical & Affidavit) will only be a complete replica of what I already submitted whilst the proof/evidence I submitted will be brought with me in their original form to the interview.

I should alter to say another affidavit if needed; it is for updating not needed.

For example, the Interview Letter asks for another copy of the Affidavit of Support of every sponsor (unless otherwise submitted) but I consider it a good idea to submit one IF your circumstances have changed, IMO...

I have a question for you guys. My husband did his biometrics 5/26, and the original letter we got only mentioned the 485 and the EAD, not the AP 131. We got SLUDs on 5/26 and 5/27 for the 485 and EAD. Will the USCIS be able to pull the biometrics for 131 from what he did, or is there a big mistake here that I need to notify them about?

(We filed 4/16; I will try to figure out how to update my signature in the meantime)

Thanks!!

Yes, it's weird, you do need a biometrics done for I-131, but they never seem to send one out. I just called USCIS inquiring about expediting my AP, they confirmed that I was suppose to have one done. He requested a bio appointment and told me I should receive my bio apt for my I-131 in about 45 days. I need to go home to be with my mom... We will find out of Thursday if she has breast cancer or not. This is my worst nightware, my aunt died 1 year ago of ovarian and breast cancer and now my mom might have cancer as well.

Sorry for not posting the update, I've been a little pre-occupied with all this. I just wanna go home :crying:

Sweet, you don't need biometrics for I-131. They will use the picture from ones you submitted. AP & EAD usually come close together.

I'm 100 % sure!

All the best to you!

Okay, we called to expedite the AP as well, but our expedite was denied. That's what got me started on this whole issue... The person I talked to asked if we had done biometrics; I said yes but that our letter did not say the AP specifically. The man said that they "should" be able to pull up the biometrics from the related cases and not make my husband go again, but he wasn't super positive on the whole thing. I was looking at other people's timelines and I noticed that they got AP approved without getting the "post-biometrics touch" on their 131, if you know what I mean. Maybe we are just being paranoid/ or their client-side system doesn't show what it is actually doing?

I hope your AP expedite goes through; good luck and thanks.

EDIT: Ahh, okay, thanks alla! Maybe the people on the phone are confused about the various types of 131s :D

Hey April Filers. My interview is next Thursday and we're so excited!

I have copies of the entire AOS packet we submitted but the only supporting evidence that was originally sent was our marriage certificate.

To the interview we also plan to take:

Both our Passports, birth certificates, drivers licenses and my EAD card.

Original Certificate of marriage

Copies and original of joint health and vehicle insurance cards.

Copies of my husband's life insurance policy with me listed as spouse and benefactor

Copy of joint residential loan/mortgage agreement for our home

We're not huge picture takers and only have a few pictures from throughout our relationship but we do have a wedding album with a significant amount of photos that we'll carry.

Also we plan on taking cards from family and friends from our engagement and wedding.

Hopefully all this is sufficient!

You don't need to submit I-864 again. You have to bring it to the interview only if you didn't prepare the I-864 with the 2009 tax returns. I believe that's what it says in the interview letter ('unless already submitted').

For what dates did you recieve your EAD???? I'm curious about starting dates... did they date it days after you recieved it to start working???? do you need to wait some more or did they date the Starting date befooore you recieve it?

Thanks
