Well, everything was touched today. No status changes (like "acceptance, initial review" etc) and no email or text update. We have never gotten a one.

Getting close now!

Oh, and we posted a question on the general AOS thread but we will post it here too.

We have our interview soon and on the list of items to bring with us it asks for birth certificates of "any children."

Does that many ANY children of either one of us? I have grown adult children (I am the USC) as well as a minor child. He (UK) has two minor children who he is NOT including in this AOS request. Which ones do we need? He will have to send quickly to the UK for their certificates and if they need certified official copies, it will cost us a lot! If they do need them but don't need certified copies, he can get an email copy we can print out and the official ones later, without having to pay for the expedited service.

So do we need ALL our children's birth certs or just any that would be included on the petition? Or just minor children?

Thanks!

For all those of you getting EADs when what was the date to be allowed to start working. Say if you recieved it on June 1st... the date said JUNE 1st as first day to be able to work or did it say like JULY or maybe MARCH or what?

It's valid from the first "card production ordered" and for a year. So when you receive it, its already valid.

EAD card production ordered! I hope to receive it in 10 days.

Crossing my fingers for the interview letter to arrive by the end of the month.

Wow!! Congrats, Nartaki!!!!!

May be Philly is less busy than Dover. I think they stock you in a first available schedule. How long is it from your place?

I thought that bio and interview is in the same building. Isn't it? I'm just getting ready...

I think since the fingerprint place and the interview place are technically different offices they don't HAVE to be in the same place, although they may be. In our case, fingerprints are in a town called Elizabeth and I think the interview will be in Newark. Philly to Dover seems a bit spread out though! :)

At least in Dallas, they have one and the same spot where they do all the interviews (from what I've heard) but several different offices for the bio. For the bio your get the one (that they think) is the closest to your zip code I guess. So that might be why. :)

Bonsoir everybody!!

A good news 15 minutes ago:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On June 9, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

dancin5hr.gif

Finally, i will be able to have a SSN, a Drivers licence, a job!!!!!! This is such a great news!

I have the feeling the interview is not going to be sometime soon, as i assume the EAD makes the AOS approval longer, but i don't really care, after all. By then we'll have tons of evidence to show them during the interview luv.gif

I wish you all the best of luck in your process!
