When we meet (at the airport, coming home from work, on the phone, emailing, etc), one party always say assalamu alaikum (insert pet name here), ie peace be upon you, a traditional muslim greeting and the other replies back wa alaikum assalam (insert pet name here) ie and upon you is the peace.

I think that's the first thing we said when we first met in the airport all those years ago too, if I can remember that far back  I know for sure that's what he said when he finally made it to Minnesota and we were reunited at the airport. That and a hug :luv:

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

When I flew to Jordan the first time, it was quite a culture shock for me. When I finally had my luggage and met Mohammed, I leaned toward him and said in a quiet voice, 'get me out of this airport'. We still laugh about that.

When Mohammed came here, I met him at Ohare and my first words were ' Welcome to America habibi!"

Ohhhh, in the airport. :P I think it was something like, "hi". Thats pretty much all I could say because his entire family was at the airport and my entire family was there too, which was about 50 people. So in passing I said "hi" and then had to greet everyone else, he was last.

As someone who was just reunited with her fiance' 5 days ago, I can recall exactly what I said. For some reason, after all the kissing and hugging, the only thing I could think to say was "AHH! YOU'RE HERE!!!!" his reply was "I AM!!!" lol :D
