We should be that lucky. But as in Isildur's time- evil will likely be allowed to endure.

Excuse me. In which forum can I find Orodruin? I have this stupid ring and apparently i'm supposed to throw it in.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

We have two deputy mods now. I ma still searching for a few more. Amazingly (or not really) people are nervous about the kick back that they see mods getting and are hesitant to put themselves in that position. Regardless, I hope to find a few good men/women soon :).

Could you post a list of who is a mod now, and who is a deputy mod? Thank you.

USE THE REPORT BUTTON INSTEAD OF MESSAGING A MODERATOR!

Anybody with a sense of fair judgment, professional demeanor, and a good understanding of the difference between moderating and pushing buttons or swooping in to issue a terse nastygram should not be hesitant to accept the position at all. And while I really do understand that we do all make mistakes, the ability to admit when you've made one and the willingness to learn from those mistakes are what makes a great moderator. I can pretty much guarantee that anybody possessing these qualities won't be subject to "kick back."

I disagree. There will always be kick back. Maybe not from you, but not everyone agrees with your qualities that make a good moderator. There is usually an unhappy customer after every mod action or decision not to take action.

Well yeah, it's the nature of the biz. I'll cop to not having all the answers, but the qualities I outlined sure couldn't hurt. :)

And two posts in a row where I'm not being a complete jackass...Merry Christmas VJ, and that goes for you moderators too! :P
