    • tell him to cook his own effing food
      31
    • just throw it away and order some pizza

  2. 2. (for the men) what would you do if your wife cooked some really bad food?

    • just eat it
      3
    • eat it the first time, but if she continued to make crap then I'd complain
      4
    • tell her it's complete crap, but eat it anyways
      5
    • purchase some cooking lessons for her
      1
    • flush it down the toilet when she's not looking
      0
    • feed it to the dog and tell her it was delicious
      0
    • cook for yourself
      1
    • order takeout
      0
    • tell her you refuse to eat that disgusting creation

I guess I'm the only one who answered, "burst into tears and lock yourself in the bathroom..."

I made him sit by the door for 10 minutes before I came out. Poor Kenchin.

But he's never actually complained about my cooking, he knows better. I had just made a mistake and somehow melted rice tortillas onto a piece of tinfoil and got hysterical about it all by myself. He likes my cooking. Or he's a really good liar.

like this stuff? or something different? just curious

For the record, he never complains. If I do make something that tastes like ######, I don't give it to him. Good cooks taste the food prior to serving

Same here he never complains, and I am a pretty good cook and I always taste as I cook too.

But as for the pole if it was something new and I asked if he like it and he said no it would be no big deal but if he just complained to start something he would be on his own. But he would never complain.

he no like he can cook for heself :jest: or go hungry

I do sometimes feel sorry for him, I have learned to cook arepas ( store bought of course ) but at least once a month I let him take me to a colombian place so he can eat what he really likes :)

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

For me it depends what I am cooking and if I will taste it or not. I don't eat pork myself, so I don't taste it either. I have slowly started to eat some pork, but still I try to stay away.

Joe just likes to ' no longer be hungry' when he gets home and generally will eat anything. When he was on his own he used to just make a big pot of beans on the weekend and then eat that for every meal until it was gone - or turned bad. Yech! There have been one or two things that I have made over the years that he has just 'not finished' - no complaints or anything - and when I asked him he said he didn't care for it. Not a problem for me - it's ok to have different tastes. I'll know not to make it for him again. If all else fails, he can be perfectly happy with a peanut butter sandwich :D .

And yes, I generally do taste while I am cooking as well unless it is something so tried and true there is no need.

btw -those Indian scrambled eggs look scrumptious! I might have to give those a try sometime.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

LMAO women can get away with anything because we have boobies hahaha

when my fiance was here, i cooked him a bunch of filipino dish and he liked my cooking a lot; and being such a bachelor, he tells me a lot of times he needs my cooking lol but i am so unsure how that's gonna be when we both live together coz the ingredients are different so something i'll need to get used to; but mostly he loves my cooking, the pasta,i even made him eat vegies!(he doesnt eat vegies but i'm very sneaky and cut them into little small pieces so he doesnt notice them and i spoon-feed him lol, something we both do to each other ^_^) then after he finishes eating, i tell him i put in a lot of veggies, he ate carrots and spices and ddnt know about it! hahaha

but when i made this dish with the squash, he said he disliked the squash and made a face so i just gave him the other veggies and he liked them still lol

he hates mayo though, but apparently, he ended up eating this fruit salad that was bathing in mayo and he ddnt notice hahaha; a man in love wont notice a lot of stuff, or im just really good at cooking and i have boobs LOL

but i dont taste the dish im cooking most of the time coz i kind of just have a feel for it and well, it actually turns out really good if i dont taste it otherwise i end up not putting in much salt or add up just way too much lol

Now, I'm going to also post the reverse idea (wife having to face something husband cooked).

Pras doesn't like whole-mung curry, blackeye-peas with vegetables or frozen mixed-vegetables (her mum loves these though) very much--but will take them (as well as chicken cooked in tomato-base gravy).

Fatty? No wonder coconut tastes so good :jest:
I can name one coconut dish that is absolutely an abomination (I also mentioned it in my attempted restart of OT's "incredible inedibles" thread)--coconut chutney (which my mum loved, Pras and her mum duplicate on that).

Basically (and not for health reasons), I consider coconut chutney useless for any purpose ("cooked salsa" tastes far better, and is far more versatile)--and I certainly won't touch the stuff if any palatable alternative (idli-dosai chili-powder, saambaar, "cooked salsa" or plain salsa) is available.

Joe just likes to ' no longer be hungry' when he gets home and generally will eat anything.
Same here, and it's good to see a very accurate definition of the condition, si man.
When he was on his own he used to just make a big pot of beans on the weekend and then eat that for every meal until it was gone - or turned bad. Yech!
With cultural exceptions, this could be a fundamental difference between men and women: I, for example, saw nothing wrong with eating three-day-old pizza that had been at room temperature all the time -- and I even credited myself with eating greenery, because "fungus is a vegetable," si man.
he can be perfectly happy with a peanut butter sandwich.
Same here again, si man, but as long as it's "woman-food," it's usually better than standard man-fare (such as the fifth pan this week of "tuna glop"), si man.
