grats!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Hey! I just posted my questions on how to receive the greencard and the changing of my surname with SS! You are heaven sent! It's been a month since I arrived in the US. What do I do to obtain my greencard? I was told in SS that I should receive it first before I'd be able to change my surname to that of my husband's. I already received the welcome note from the USCIS, too. Should I just wait for the greencard, or must I do something to receive it?

Many thanks!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
