Timeline

Hi- I'm new on this site and I just wanted to thank everybody for their timelines and advise- this process has been sooo long and so frustrating for me and my husband just as it has been for everyone else. It's really encouraged me to read about others progress.

We sent our I-130 to VSC on August 17 and didn't get a receipt until December 22. We then sent out I-129F and got a receipt on January 8. We have had no touches or heard anything all this time. Based on everyones timelines, I'm hoping we'll be approved soon- anybody have any estimates on when?

Thanks so much.

i guess you are within what can be considered normal these days, mlopez

you should call or have your husband call and check what's going on though... i think your file is probably already assigned to an adjudicator as well

when you/your husband call, follow the instructions as if you were trying to get information on a RFE (Request for Further Evidence). That line gives you better information than the standard one, which is just idiots reading up uscis website. On the RFE line you get redirected to your service center and speak to someone who can actually look your case up

it's what we call the RFE trick... i hope it helps :)

Hi....just wanted to share with you that my case was approved on April 4  ...USCIS received our I-130 on August 13, but we still have K3 pending...

Congratulations!!! That's great! I see from the database that there are still about 14 people (both K3/CR-1s) who got their NOA1s in December 2007 who are still waiting at VSC (aka "The Honorable Senator Patrick J. Leahy Service Center"). Good luck to you all this week! If life is fair, you will all get your NOA2s ASAP!!!

I also just wanted to share that our I-130 was approved yesterday :dance:

We're really excited, but also nervous because of the uncertain status of the K3 visa. I'm going to call USCIS tomorrow to ask about it. Our lawyer estimates that a CR1 interview in Juarez would be about 6 months away :crying:

Any updates on the K3s at Vermont???
