we have had some touches two with out me calling and the rest from me calling...........i think ours is in a box that has been given to someone that is on vacation or something............i hope we are all approved fast now i know it is really getting to us how about u guys how u holding up?

APPROVED!!!

I got a letter today from my Senator, who I wrote to about a month ago, and in it she said her staff contacted CSC Friday, and they told them both the 130 and 129F were approved and will be forwarded to the National Visa Center shortly! Guess that explains the touch on Friday! Now I just have to wait for the official NOA2 letter from CSC right? Then send that and copies of all other documents on to my wife?

VJr's I appreciate the help all of you have given me. August filers NOW is our time! Get ready for all of your NOA2's!

Phil and Reem

   congratulations

Ok, so this is my first time actually adding information into the forums, here goes nothing :).

I thought I'd post my data and details out there and see if others have had a similar experience or at least can show some better advice. And maybe my details can help others :).

I call myself an 'August filer', only because my I-129F was filed in August. My I-130 was filed all the way back in June!! I guess in all the hurry, I forgot to read the part where I needed the G-325 forms for the I-129F forms again (I didn't make photo copies :( ), and I had to have my wife mail me here info all over again.

Anyways, something really interesting happened to me a few days ago. I called USCIS on Thursday and they finally admitted that my case was outside there processing time (including +30 days). They opened up a Service Request and and said that the CSR official who was holding our case would get in touch with use if they needed further information, they even took down my cell phone number :o , very surprised by that, indeed. Since then our application has been touched twice!!!!! This is the first time since last August that (I'm assuming) someone eye-balled our paperwork. Very exciting (also shows my desperation)!!!!

Below you'll see our information in more details. I'm still a little confused about this term 'touched'. I'm assuming that it applies to USCIS updating there 'Updated' date on there web portal and only that? Anyways, I created a different entry 'Called' for the times I called them :).

That's GREAT! Who did you talk to?? As per gogo's instructions, my husband called today & asked to speak to an "officer" but she had NO clue as to what he was talking about! He even mentioned that an October filer got approved already but she just kept repeating that they are working on July! He got so frustrated that he hung up! If I want answers, I'm going to have to call when I'm there in 2 weeks! sheesh!

Good luck to you! Wishing for an approval soon for you!

You know Jen, I have no good news for you.

After looking at your timeline details I notice one thing. Your not outside there processing time. I called USCIS so many times and the only responce that I would get from them is that my case was still 30 days past the processing time!!! It really made me wonder why they would have a processing time if there not going to honor it

Anyways, the only advice I have is to keep calling USCIS. Its a toll free call and your not hurting anyone. It's kinda like going on a roller-coaster. You wait nervously in line for 1 hour then the rides over in 30 seconds.

As for my case. Even though others in VJ have disputed this, I have the strong suspision that when you apply for a I-129F, your total combined forms (I-130 and I-129F) are combined and placed in the back of the queue. The service request that USCIS opened for me was for the I-130 (which is outside there processing time). Anyways, the customer service rep. at USCIS basically said that I'll be getting some information within 45 days.

I do have 1 question for you. I was under the assumption that one couldn't apply for a visitor visa or any other visa when You've applied for a K-3 or a I-130 ....etc. How are you able to come to the US when you have a case open with USCIS? This is amazing!! Please advice on how you accomplished this? and if possible, are there any risks to the K-3 Visa process?

Thanks

JT

Hi JT...I'll be on my 4th visit in a couple weeks since we started this...I've never had any problem getting across the border, no questions asked at all pertaining to WHO I'm visiting. I always go prepared tho, ALL documents in my carry-on...all ties to Canada as well as copies of I-130 & I-129F showing that we're doing it legally.

As per the other questions, I definitely know that we're still within processing time but the fact that people filing BOTH I-130 & I-129F later than us AND getting approval for BOTH is the question I would like answered. Even the fact that they're getting touches...I wish we were in the same boat. We haven't had a touch since October...ugh...

Our I-130 and I-129F were both approved today. WooHoo! We files the 130 on Auf 7 but it got entered Sep 15. The I-129F was a month behind it.

So, now that they are both approved, what is the best plan (fastest plan)? Should we drop the K3 and go with the I-130? Does this slow it down?

Open to suggestions.

thanks,

john

Approved!!!!! We just got Approved!!!

There was a touch on our applications around 2ish'. Then just 15 minutes ago (9:30pm PST -- thats a wierd time?) I got an email from CRIS regarding our I-130 form and it being approved and "Current Status: Approval notice sent." Then 5 minutes later I got another email saying our I-129F form was also "Current Status: Approval notice sent."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man! My hearts about to explode out of my chest!!!

I really want to thank VisaJourney and all the people who use this site! I know we still have a bit of a process going forward but I would have been totally lost without VJ and all the forum users!! Thanks to everyone!!! and I'll prey that everyone gets there approvals soon (NOW!! :) ).

Approved!!!!! We just got Approved!!!

best of luck for the onwards journey, i guess i might be the privileged one waiting for the approval to come through having applied in July.

I did call USCIS on Feb 22nd to complain about the delay luckily got a wonderful rep - jacklyn after a painful rep (slacker of the first order). Rep Jacklyn created some service request to look into processing of the case.

Since then have had touches on 3/4.3/5.3/6. 3/7 and 3/9(some stupid system touch) i think each touch is echoed a day later or if friday on sunday

not sure where things lead to next, gonna call up the senator's office and then later USCIS to explore whats the status.

best wishesh
