Finally got ours today!! Both I-130 and I-129F were approved from the CSC on March 18th!!

Timeline

7/11/2007 - I-130 NO1A Hard Copy

8/13/2007 - Son Drayson born in Sudbury, Ontario.

9/6/2007 - I-129F NO1

10/15/2007 - Trip to Toronto for Dray's Consular Birth Abroad, SS application, and US passport

3/18/2008 - NOA2 for both I-129 and I-130!! No touches or email notifications at all!

4/2/2008 - estimated that NVC received

4/9/2008 - estimated that K-3 was sent from NVC to USEMontreal

4/16/2008 - Received hardcopy from NVC

4/16/2008 - Packet 3 Received

4/24/2008 - Packet 3 Sent to USEMontreal

7/14/2008 Interview in Montreal!!!!

7/17/2008 Visa received

7/18/2008 POE Sault Ste Marie Michigan

8/21/2008 moving day...back to Anchorage, Alaska!

4/20/2009 AOS granted, 10 year Green Card arrives, Social Security # given :)

I posted this in the July thread, but I think it might be helpful to August filers.

Congrats to all those who've recently been approved. We just got approved last Wednesday.

For those who are still waiting, it seems that they are processing the 1-130/I-129F petitions based on the I-130 priority date. I just received our hard copies of the NOA2s for both petitions. The one for the I-130 shows a Priority Date of July 30, 2007 although my NOA1 date was August 30, 2007. The NOA2 for the I-129F had the Priority Date blank.

In looking at other recently approved I-129F petitions, I noticed that the NOA1 dates for the both petition types are all over the place. There is little to no correlation between any of the cases. However, if you look into the individual timelines, you'll notice that the I-130s were all sent in around July or early August. USCIS reps said many different things to different people about how the cases are prioritized. Some people were told that the Priority Date was based on the original Received Date for the I-130 and this seems to be what is happening. I could be wrong, but those waiting might want to compare their "Sent Dates" for the I-130 to those of recently approved petitions.

My husband called yesterday, and he was told that our case is assigned to an adjudicator and is under review. The email updates and case status online are known to be delayed. We should have a notice in the mail soon.

He said it was the first time he called and got a helpful person. He got up and looked until he found our file.

24/mar/2009 - NOA for AOS and EAD date

25/mar/2009 - Check cashed

15/apr/2009 - Biometrics done

Elbereth. Your Priority Date is a little over a week after ours and we were approved last week. You are likely due any day now. Our email notice came in the morning after we were approved. The mail notification came about 5 days after the approval date.

I know how you feel. We went 236 days from sending the petitions to getting approved. I'll be calling NVC later to see if they have our case. I just want to know that we are out of USCIS's incompetent grasp for the moment.
