My wife's I 751 has been pending for more than a year.  We went to the San Jose USCIS local office to extend it for another year (I 551) three weeks ago.  We decided to finally file her N400 on May 10 since this process is getting ridiculously long . Hope to see light at the end of the tunnel soon.

I am in an unique situation. I applied for I-751 on March 7th 2017. On March 6th 2018 I applied for N-400 online based on 3 years marriage rule. On March 7th 2018 my I-751 got approved and I received my 10 year green card in next few weeks.

Meanwhile my interview for N-400 is scheduled for June 25th. Last week I received a notice from USCIS stating that my GC has incorrect information and I must return my GC asap but not later than 20 days of receiving this notice. It also said that I should get my new GC within 3 weeks after they I return mine. I checked my personal information on GC and it was all correct. I spoke with tier -2 and he confirmed that that they have send me the mail and asked me to return my GC asap.  He asked me to have color copy of my GC and and notice letter I received last week and take them to my N-400 interview just in case I don't get my new GC till then.

I have returned my GC and hoping that I receive my new GC before June 25th. I don't want to have the risk of going to interview with original GC. Has anyone else received such notice?

yes most of the cards issued between February - April has the incorrect resident since date on them which could have alot of people being denied citizenship so USCIS is trying to fix the error on the cards they've identified with this issue. Your info on the card im sure is ok but the resident since date might not be.The same has happened to me and ive got my interview for citizenship on June 7th so be optimistic if not though as long as you can prove uscis is in possession of the card they have to adjudicate your citizenship interview so don't worry too much about it

That's good to know. Is there a way to track the progress of this?

Yeah, you are right. Sinthea one question for you. Did your husband had to surrender his GC or did they take it from him? I might go next month and get the I-551 stamp. I am wondering if I am okay with that  Take care, regards.

This is a great news. You will have a combined I-751 and N-400 interview.

It will probably be available online in a day or two.

We were able to see the interview letter online the next day.  Hopefully yours will come quickly too.
