I'm going to assume (hope/pray) that just means they haven't entered all of the data for the case in the system yet....but FINALLY a way to get a sliver of information to track our case!

Mine says the same. Why do we all have the same response date, whatever that is.

I used this tool and found my case status as 'ready'. It is possible that only select consulates are using this method until they all change over to online applications. To search use your case number the NVC assigned you.

If you see the newer cases have the most info and mine says the same as yours and I called DOS Friday and they told me our case was fine they just havent finished it yet...... i think due to the volume they simply did as much as they could to get our case online that was it.

Ours doesn't even have a case creation date such as at interview or a few days later so I agree with you.. and with a 221g and background checks we were refused at that time but per the letter we had at interview we had mandatory AP

i think this is much better than calling DOS and getting someone rude and disrespectful of our waiting for the visa over a year after interview!!!

I tried it too, and it said "issued" choosing immigration unit(IV).

You have to use the embassy case number(since they're the ones handling visas and it says "visa status check").

Yes it does as my prior post said it prob only works with NVC case numbers...

and yeah it won't work with NOA1 or NOA2

I was commenting that bcause its so new those that had interviews a year ago like me prob won't have as much info (im sure that will vary) as the new cases that just had interviews or upcoming interviews.

Im thinking it will be much like the USCIS website to check noa1/noa2 as well... some will have more info than others... but let's pray they get this worked out so everybody will be able to check and see their info...

It's a new system so don't worry... if you had 221g its refused until AP is complete

My case says refused and DOS said it has been send to NVC who says they don't have it "yet". So, not sure if it will be returned or is undergoing additional AP at NVC again.

Hm, that sounds great, but how does it work? We have our NVC case number, but when I entered it, it said "invalid application ID or case number". Also, our case number is shorter than the given example on the site - "2012118 345 0001" - ours doesn't have the last two groups of numbers, just the first part. I would love to see some kind of case status. The waiting for NOA2 was tough, but at least you could somehow check your status. Now we don't know where our documents are and when the next step is happening. Sometimes this process is driving me nuts
