We had our Interview at the Bogota Embassy today. My wife's visa status was given "Refusal" and was given the 221g Yellow paper stating that they need a certified raised seal divorce decree. I wasn't thinking and had thought I had a copy of the raised seal and didn't think to check if it was the real one, because I had so much on my plate. They kept my wife's passport. Now, I think I am just overthinking this, but I think it is a good thing that they kept it. I am thinking that once they get that final document that they will immediately issue her the CR1 Visa. My big issue is that I am in Colombia and the divorce decree is in the United States. I don't want to have to fly to Nevada to get it, but if I have to, I just might to get the ball rolling. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Ok so we got our I-797 USCIS approval letter on 1-23-2023.. After about 2 months of nothing from NVC I finally sent them an inquiry for information as to what our next steps are, in the first response they sent me the case number starting with BGT. I had to send them another inquiry for the invoice number as well to be able to log into the CEAC portal. Once I had both of those I was finally able to login but I cannot pay any fees or see basically anything at all. The only message that pops up is this one : “Summary Information K visas are nonimmigrant visas that assist spouses or future spouses of American citizens in entering the United States. As with all nonimmigrant visa applicants, a DS-160 must be filled out in order for a consular section to process the case.” 77 days after the mailed I-797 was sent to us, we still have not received any kind of welcome letter or anything with information on how to pay for fees and submit the affidavit of support. It is not on the portal. We have since filled out DS160 (about 2 weeks ago) are we waiting for DS160 to be reviewed for us to be sent more instructions? Is there something else we should be doing? Or anything we can do ? Does priority date apply to K1 visas? Any further inquiries sent to NVC was responded with this : “To Whom it Concerns: You will be notified once this case is forwarded to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General.” Any experience or information would be greatly appreciated! We are waiting to go to the embassy in Bogota so we can be together forever . I-129f was completed in November of 2021.

The NVC sent our case to the Bogota embassy and updated it as "Ready" 14 days ago. We have not received the instructions package and called the embassy last week. They said the case was ready and that we can schedule the interview, and so we did, however we are aware that we need the instructions letter to be able to interview. We have not received the letter yet, how long is it generally taking for the bogota embassy to send it? Seems a bit concerning that they say it's ready by phone, yet we get nothing.

Hi there, My husband and I got DQ'ed from NVC on July 8th...haven't really seen many interviews being scheduled at Bogota Consulate. (though I saw one recently scheduled on Sept 9th though they were DQ'ed after us). How many of you are waiting for interviews to be scheduled and when did you get DQ'ed Thanks!

CRBA + Passport for Minor: As part of DS-11, it says you need to translate the birth certificate to English (and assuming Marriage Certificate as well, even though they don't mention it). However, since we are doing this application in Bogota, is that actually necessary? Curious if anyone has done the process as of late and can comment on this curveball. Thank you, Stephen
