Whenever someone here where I live asks me "How did you meet your fiance if he still lives in England" (like it's really a no brainer :P ) My reply is of course we met over the internet, on a chat/forum/download site that both he and I frequented..neither of us was looking for love...he seen my pic, sent me a lovely message, and it went from there...blah, blah, blah...)...Anyhow, I always get that "OHHHH...the internet eh?" Like everyone you meet over the internet is suppose to be a serial killer or something

Curiosity has got the better of me, so I've created this poll to find out...am I really that alone (not that I think I am...lol... just wondering the statistics

Interesting how most people, so far, have said they got engaged the first time they met.

Personally, I'd find that hard to do....................but then again................I guess when you don't have much opportunity to meet, considering each person lives halfway across the globe...............you have to make quicker decisions, and things have to be done a bit differently than if they met in the USA. ;)

I wouldn't have known that's what happened with so many of the people on this website , if it weren't for this poll.

I didn't vote, since I met my wife here in the USA........and a lot doesn't apply to me.............but find the results informative, and learned some things I didn't know before.

Interesting how most people, so far, have said they got engaged the first time they met.

I arrived in her city on Feb. 12th. I had to speak with her mother and the family on Feb. 13th to get their blessing of marriage first. I waited until 12:30am on Feb. 14th to propose. I, at least, gave it a couple of days!
