My Wife's Visa has been approved. Really happy that the long wait has come to an end.

She was in and out of the consulate in 45 min and no questions asked by the interviewer except the standard 'who is calling you' and 'is this your first marriage'

Just received my passport back with my VISA yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy so happy :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ohhhh okay. Ya i got the stamp saying that pcc issued for canada. I went the local Indian embassy here for police clearance at the time of ds-260. And all they gave me is one paper which indicates the police clearance and second a stamp on the passport. I guess that's al you need, right? And it shows "J" symbol infront of that requirement on p4.

I got police clearance certificate and passport stamped. And honestly don't remember what those symbols are anymore. They are all specified in the interview letter though.

It has been 6weeks and still no CC! What do I do now?

You can call. Mine took a little over 6 weeks 46 or 47 days around the time everyone else was getting CC on exactly their 30 days. It's not always exactly the time they estimate. Just give it some time.

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:

Hi guys!! My visa was APPROVED!! so excited now, Just wanna thank everyone for your help and share my experience:

Scheduled for 9am, I arrived at the embassy at 8:30ish and there was a long line already. A Chinese lady first checked my documents and supporting materials. She said my notarized marriage certificated issued by Ohio probate court is not"official", and that I should bring 3 years of tax forms instead of just last year's. At that point I felt pretty devastated and told her that the I864-ez does not require 3 years of tax return forms, she was still not happy about it, but she collected my docs and said she would make comments and let the VO decide if these two documents were acceptable.

The VO was pretty nice though, after roughly 2.5 hrs of waiting, I was called up. Questions were:

1. Who is sponsoring you?

2. What does your husband do? What do you do?

3. Where did you get married and how long have you been married?

4. Do you have any child together and how old?

5. Is you husband in China or the US? When is the last time you saw your husband?

took about 5min or less, I was out of the embassy by noon.

So relieved that it's the end of the journey, I hope everyone with interview coming up goes well!

10/8/13 - package delivered - DAY 2
10/11/13 - Check cashed - DAY 5
10/18/13 - Received NOA1s - DAY 12
10/21/13 - Received biometrics appt letter (scheduled for 11/07) - DAY 15
10/22/13 - Walk-in biometrics successful (Columbus OH office) - DAY 16
11/14/13 - Form i-485 status changed to "Test and interview" - DAY 39
11/22/13 - Expedited AP and EAD approved!! (EAD status changed to "card production") - DAY 47
11/30/13 - Received combo card and two copies of paper AP (weird) - DAY 55
12/5/13 - Interview date updated on USCIS website (Jan 31, 2014) - DAY 60
1/31/14-Rejected Green card because I forgot to mention a previous J1 visa that will require a waiver to apply for an immigrant visa...

WENT BACK TO CHINA TO WORK AND LIVE FOR TWO YEARS, HUBBY STAYED IN THE US FOR WORK.... :crying:
9/30/15-Started IR-1 application
3/20/16-Sent all required materials to NVC
4/18/16-Case Complete
8/10/16-Interview scheduled in Guangzhou, China for 9/6/16
8/18/16-Sealed medical package received (and an X-ray CD)
