We're approved!! Everything went well, staff were quite pleasant, and now family & I are chilling then headed out for poutine :). I'll be able to tell the full tale when I get back to a keyboard (just on my phone now...)

lol.. I think there is special wait built in the system, to distribute the work load according to the visa number system allocation throughout the year.

K-1 guys in Canada should have just option to go to embassy and get the visa. I just don't understand when Canadians don't need all this hassle for visits or even TN visa, why would they have to wait this NVC system, when they could very well built that into NAFTA. Anyways, not my piece of cake. :)

when my husband first filed the petition for me, i foolishly thought it would take about 5 to 6 months since we are just a hop a skip and a jump away...sadly it took 18 months..finally im here in the good old USA..lol

Dwheels76, please I got a quick question, I have done my medicals, do I need to contact the embassy for anything, or I just have to wait for my appointment date and just go for the interview.

WOW you went and got a medical before Interview was assigned? Surprised they let you in. Not wise to do that. Because now you have started the clock for entry in US. You have 6 months from medical. Which I know for some no issue but with how the assignments and all have been going .

But now yes you wait for interview there's nothing else you can do. No need to alert the embassy they don't have your case and know nothing about you.

Which of the two medical exam venues did you go? I want to know how fast the process is and the entire amount they collected from you. My wife will soon be going for her medicals. Also, how many days after the exam did you wait before obtaining the result?

Thanks.

Q-Life is the best. Expect to pay about N30,000. You can pick up results in 4 days after medical.
