Praise the Lord. 2021-06-12: POE I was admitted at the US CBP and a 1year validity of my visa was stamped on my passport. There were just 2 questions: 1. Your wifeâ€™s name is hmmmmm? 2. What part of US will you be residing? 3. Whatâ€™s the address? 4. The zip code? Answered all and also informed the officer that I am qualified for 10 years green card because my marriage is 2 years now. Although, my interview was 2 months before my marriage clocked 2yrs. So, I needed to convert my CR1 visa to IR1 category. The officer looked at my face and said okay. As a matter of fact, I even showed him a written application for my request and attached a photocopy of my marriage certificate with it. I ensured he sighted my original marriage certificate as well. Finally, he stamped ADMITTED but wrote CR1 on my passport. He therefore returned the written application back to me. He said you are welcome to America. Goodluck. 2021-04-14: VISA APPROVED Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV. 2021-04-09: PASSPORT SUBMITTED @ADHL office. Now waiting. 2021-04-08: EMBASSY REQUEST: Received an email from the embassy to submit my Passport. I guess something good is on the way. Praise the Lord. 2021-04-01: SUBMISSION AT DHL OFFICE: The required AOS, 2020 Tax Return filing and W2 of the new joint Sponsor were submitted. 2021-03-10: INTERVIEW: The interview went well and the CO asked questions like: Where did you meet your spouse, Who introduced you to each other? Do you have any other photos apart from pictures taken few minutes after wedding? Are you friendly with your wifeâ€™s children? Convince me if truly you know your wife very well. Whatâ€™s your spouse most favourite food? Does she watch TV? Finally he asked for 2020 W2 /IRS Tax filing for spouse and the joint sponsor. They were produced but the CO said I will need to get another joint sponsor to submit a new AOS form, w2 and IRS tax transcript with sufficient amount. As a result, Visa Refused till I produce another Qualified Joint Sponsor at no other cost. All documents to be submitted at the DHL office. 2020-12-31 : I finally booked an appointment with the medical facility for the 28th of January, 2021. The fee altogether is said to be N150,000 or a little less. I will update how much it is in total when I am done. 2020-01-26: Interview at the Embassy earlier scheduled for 2020-02-09 has been rescheduled to 2020-03-10	2021-06-26

After the date of admission, we paid the green card fee online via the USCIS portal (you don't have to pay it until the day you reach the USA) and two days later, the social security card came and then about a month later, the green card came in the mail via USPS priority mail.	2024-04-18
