After patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) waiting, here we are, 149 days later, and we FINALLY see that our NOA 2 is Approved!!!

    ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We discussed yesterday that we were going to stop checking-in every day to see what was happening with our case because it broke our hearts each time we didn't see any movement. I guess we just needed a shift of energy and the USCIS felt the change and I was woken up abruptly by a notification sound I hadn't heart before (the case tracker). Since I was still groggy, I went to the USCIS website and refreshed about a million times just to make sure it wasn't a dream! 😍

Now we just need this virus to pass so we can get on with our happily ever after! 👩‍❤️‍👨#StayHomeSoWeCanGetMarried

    NOA 1 - December 2, 2019

    NOA 2 - April 29, 2020

    149 Days

    ❤️

YAAAAAY! Get it, girl! ❤️ So happy for you!!

If it makes you feel better, the staff member my fiance talked to last week told him to call back again this week and to call every week. They've been wonderful to deal with, but things are going a bit slower than normal, it seems. We did get confirmation that our case was received (NOA2: 26 Mar) just yesterday.

Should I try again? When I called last week, the gentleman I had talked to was so nice as well.

  3. We are still waiting on our case to get to NVC... 😐  It's been 5 weeks. They responded to my email yesterday saying it may take up to 6 weeks at least. I guess I'll wait another week. My fiance said not to email them again this week because they are short-staffed so instead of processing petitions, they are responding to emails from impatient people like us. 😄 oops, he does have a point.

Of the ones that are are tracking, are any being approved? Seems like nothing is being approved or very few every day. Per Igor's list, it looks like maybe 35%,9 of December filers have received NOA2.

We got our NOA2 on 24 MAR, I was also using the case tracker app on iOS. I had added our WAC in there and the previous 11. All I-129Fs. I searched a few months ago for the fun of it and there were at least 100 petitions with the same NOA1 date of 2 DEC. In that group of 12 WAC #s in my case tracker, ours and 4 others were approved on or around 24 MAR. The other 7 are 3 RFEs issued in the first half of April and 4 other petitions that were not yet processed.

The trump Administration is planning to pass an Executive Order in the next 24 hours to suspend all immigration to America.  While it's unlikely the President will change their mind on the general policy, we believe they may consider a narrow exception for immediate family members of US Citizens.  We've started a petition a the White House which requires 10,000 signatures to get attention and 100,000 signatures to get a formal response.  Please join us by signing the petition at the following link.  We should have the membership to make a solid run at getting enough signatures!

    So K-1s would be SOL?

No, please can you provide a link? I think that is utterly aggravating. There is a travel ban already. Why do there need to be additional restrictions for immigrants!?

My mind is blown by this administration... If they block immigration, me and my fiancé are moving back to Europe. If God is for us, who can be against us?

And on that note... praying he doesn’t go ahead with the EO.

  7. @Greenbaum

I have lost my job due to the COVID-19. We have received our NOA2 on 23rd of March.

At the moment the consulate in Naples is still closed, but I was wondering, if I don't manage to get a job by the time the consulate opens again for the public, will I be able to use just savings for the I-134?

I was reading that I must have 3x the poverty line amount($21,550). Is that correct? What about for the I-864 for the GC?

    Short answer is NO.

    Types of Benefits

The rule’s definition of public benefit is in line with the one laid out in the DHS rule and includes any of the following forms of assistance received on or after October 15, 2019:

    • Any cash assistance for income maintenance including Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and federal, state or local cash benefit programs for income maintenance
    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
    • Section 8 Housing Assistance under the Housing Choice Voucher Program
    • Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance
    • Federally funded Medicaid (with certain exclusions)
    • Subsidized public housing

Exclusions may apply to members of the armed forces and their family members, those seeking health services for immunizations, and those who wish to receive testing and treatment for communicable diseases.

The DOS interim final rule will allow consular officers to deny visa applications to applicants coming from abroad if they determine that an applicant could be a “public charge” under the expanded definition.

So does unemployment fall into those categories that make you ineligible or no? I’d Ike to file for that, but if I’m going to shoot myself in the foot by doing that, I’d rather not? So confused and worried.

  9. I’ve not received any texts or emails, I was checking my WAC like maybe once or twice a week, if that... And I happened to check the day it got approved because we were waiting to board our flight. Loved the Case Tracker for iOS. So accurate! There are now so many NOA1 Dec 2nd approvals that have popped up just in the past few days after we got ours.

Hang tight, your turn is coming, guys! Just around the corner. It’s a matter of days or a couple weeks!

  10. Thank you so much, guys! 🌈

We were able to get back to the states last night on the last flight out of Melbourne, Australia. Pilots announced on the intercom they and their crew would return home as passengers. It was such a sad moment. But we made it! We also checked my case status while in the airport in Melbourne and it was approved!! I couldn’t believe my eyes because I had seen someone else in my 10 cases that I had added to the app that had just gotten approved. I scrolled down to the bottom of the page only to see ours was approved as well. I went to the official my case status on USCIS and there it was! What a happy moment! ❤️
We went together through customs. I went to the visitors line with him. But they asked me what was I doing here and if I was staying: Umm, I live here! 😁 I couldn’t believe the guy let my fiancé in so easily even though he had just been here for 3 months from November to February. 🤩 Many blessings to him! Love the customs people at LAX!

Now my focus is getting my job back or finding a new one...

I have not see any instructions so we are all flying by the seat of our pants on this one. As you go through the document use common sense to what should you bring along to substantiate your answers. Of course, you still have to have the I-134 from your USC.

Got it. I hope the whole coronavirus situation eases off by the time we have the interview. I am planning on flying out to attend my fiance's interview! Woo!
