    1. Great. So I guess we can apply for SSN on her last name after marriage  anyways.

    2. Wow, how I missed that... That's great then. Regarding the potential change of that from Trump administration, it hasn't been accepted and still on review. So we cannot say that they will increase the fee.

    3. That's what I thought. Thanks!

Hey, would you mind filling out your timeline on here? 🙂

    1. Usually guys don't have any issue if they apply before or after because it's assumed a woman will take her husband's last name. Overall it's better you apply ASAP

2.when filed  with AOS  EAD is free of charge

    3. Yes She can fly around with her passport in hand and a copy of I-94

    2. I think they are changing that with the current Administration to charge much more for the GC. The fees are going into effect this year I believe. Someone in here shared a link. I can't find the USCIS one, but here is a different article on that.

I see a lot of movement in the October 2019 group Can't before its our turn people!

Tell me about it! I've been on that thread more than any others! Hahaha They haven't touched November yet. Well, except for the one random approval. Probably military or something...

BTW: going over the lists of potential interview questions with your partner is a great way to trigger hurt feelings. "Wait! How did you not know that about me??" (Somehow, in the thousands of hours of deep conversations we've had, he missed that I went to college for two years.)

Can you imagine if other couples had to be quizzed on their partner before getting married??

Why can't they just interview me? I know everything! 😂

That would be a little strange if they quizzed the beneficiary about every single detail about the petitioner. 🙂 But I guess you would know the most important things about each other.

I'm sure we will. It's nothing serious so it's just another waiting game :) We've been patient so far. We know what the issue is now.

I'm like...really proud of myself though because everything else was perfect!

ALSO: FYI I assumed the RFE was because I did not have my letter of intent to marry (only the petitioner did). But there was enough supporting evidence to show we were going to get married. Interesting right?

That is so cool indeed! And you should be proud because not everyone is so detailed. Interesting that they didn't question the missing letter, but it kind of makes sense if they pieced together other evidence you included. They are so used to seeing so many petitions on a daily basis that I'm sure once they take a quick look over the papers, their mind is already made up as to whether it's good or not. 😄

When we mailed the K1 application We sent in enough proof of visit from the last 2 years, photos and, chat logs, and evidence of future visits with family.

What are your thoughts on continuing to send ongoing evidence of relationship throughout the process? Obviously as time goes by more support is accumulated therefore, I could be sending in the photos from the past family visit, evidence of our dating since the application, evidence of the next planned visit, etc. Will they add the support to the case? Or is this only useful after the NOA2 is received and the case goes to USICS?

I don't want to get dinged for Boneafide relationship when I could be providing so much more to prove bonafide.

I've never heard of sending evidence after the fact, i.e. after sending in the initial petition. I think the only way they will take additional evidence from you is if they ask for it through RFE. 🙂 I think you've included more than enough though! Good luck!

EllaC I really felt your message and you are so right. Amen for those words, because that is what really matters. And I say that because when happens that my fiancé is sick because of a cold or just feeling weak, my heart is broken because I can’t do much than just staying with him while on the phone.
Thank you for the encouragement 🤗

I hear you loud and clear! Lots of health and love to everyone here!

  7. Sorry for the multiple comments, but I just wanted to say that above everything, beyond wishing everyone here a fast track to an approval, I want to say that the most important thing is for us and our fiance/es to be healthy and safe while we are apart as well as afterwards when they move here, of course. That is what I am praying for! Tons of health and safety to see this process through and be reunited with our loved ones! ❤️

Hey all, hope January is treating you well! Thought I would check in, love seeing so many still conversing!

Here we are patiently waiting for approval. For my fiancé and myself, there has been a change in our plans. He found out about a week ago his mom is very ill. He is from Venezuela but living in Peru, which is where we met. The kicker is that he has been in the process of getting his new residency card (waiting for months now). But due to his mom in such bad shape, he has to return to Venezuela. The flight is booked. We are hoping and praying he has his card before he leaves February 13 so that he can return to Peru when it is time for his interview. If he does not have his card by then, he will have to stay in Venezuela and we will have to finish there.

It’s been a whirlwind of emotions. The holidays were hard. He is battling some severe depression these last couple of months. For this reason we were actually already discussing him going home after some really rough weeks. But after getting news of his mom it solidified it. I am hoping being with his family, despite the circumstances, will help. We are also having to plan for our process to change slightly as he will have to finish all of this in Colombia and it could be later in the year when he arrives. And of course I have had to pull funds to get him home, and help support him until he can hopefully find some kind of job. I’m stressing a bit thinking about everything to come that I need to somehow save money for. I worry so much about him returning home and his safety but I have to remain hopeful that everything will be okay and soon he will be here with me!!

Until then I shall continue waiting for that NOA2. I need some good news!!

The struggles don't end... I can imagine how hard it must be, but we are inching closer to our approvals! We got this! Keep your chin up!

I thought about doing some cleaning too, but after thinking about it i said, nah, just going get cluttered again.  Why bother and just do it once before the arrival.  :)

According to updates from USCIS, estimates for us December filers are being pushed back to the last week of March.  Ho hum...

I did see that. I got my latest approval estimate in the email. Honestly I am preparing myself to wait the full month of April before I will allow myself to be super impatient. Of course, I would be thrilled to get it in the month of March, but I am also being realistic... Just trying as best as I can not to compare my timeline with others and understand that each case is unique. That's not to say that I don't have my own moments when I feel down. And I will allow myself that, but you bet after a few hours of feeling that way I will pick myself back up. 🙂

Hi everyone! I’m new here 🙂
This are my updates on my k1 visa.
On December 20, 2019 USCIS has received our package and December 26, 2019 we received the WAC receipt number. First we received a message and after logging in the USCIS website with the number, they were saying if by January 19, 2020 we don’t receive the receipt number in the mail to contact them. We already did that and yesterday we received email that they sent  the NOA1.
I am the beneficiary based in Italy. The future interview will be held in Naples, Italy.

I’m actually excited about this process, for now. However I feel some anxiety thinking about the interview.
I wish good luck to everyone !

You're in good hands here! 🙂

I'm in the same boat as you.  We are great about video chatting multiple times a day, but it gets really hard when either of us is feeling low and all we want is a hug and to feel each other in our arms.  We don't get to see one another often, but I am going to Serbia in 19 days so I will get all my hugs and kisses in then to help refuel my tank until the next time I can go and visit! 😍

Oh we have the same NOA1!! I hope we both get approvals relatively quickly! Maybe while we're away visiting our loved ones! That would be magical!

I'm at 125 days as well, I did try filling out the form on the website last week and the server refused it because "it's still within normal processing time" until the 7 month mark unfortunately. I tried calling to talk to a human, but it seems like all their prompts now redirect you back to the website, which already refused my request.

I feel for you and I've said this on a different thread. I am SO humbled by all of you who have been waiting much longer than the estimated 3-4 months. I am truly sending you the best vibes and praying for approvals for all of you September filers to be approved by the end of the week!

Girl!! He still there with you and you giving us this sad spill🤣😂🤣.. we’re all getting virtual time and you got the real deal right there!!! Just enjoy that for now.

But seriously that’s an amazing opportunity that you have been giving so just live in that moment. I so wish I had that same opportunity 😔

You're so right! I've been in a LDR many years before with my ex spouse and we would see each other once a year!!! I am truly blessed with my fiance now! ❤️ Alright, I'll snap out of my whining and complaining for nothing. I've had such a difficult week so far. I have to try and turn it around!

Sure doesn't help when the people around me who know when he's leaving keep saying: He's about to go back to the kangaroos in a bit, right? Shush!!!!!! lol
