  1. Looks like Rivian is going to run out of money, Tesla are OK and well if the Dems were serious about electrification, they are not, the obvious solution would be to allow imports of Chinese EVs which are affordable.
  2. Ahh, it was the way you worded it. Even if you decide to go through with the K1 it would not be an issue, many of us travelled during the process.
  3. K1 means you are not married. He is not eligible for a K1. He can certainly attempt to seek entry on the VWP. Have you filed an I 130?
  4. Ouch that seems a painful situation. The Divorce situation seems complicated, hopefully you have a good lawyer and he has the funds for any settlement. The system has not been updated to reflect long I 751 processing times. In the past a I 751 would have been resolved before any N400. But not now. So just thinking through the general options. N400 and I 751 are adjudicated at the same interview. N400 is delayed either at or before the interview when they realise the I 751 is outstanding. They adjudicate the I 751 between now and the interview, this seems unlikely. My best guess is that someone near to or at the N400 stage picks up the file and realizes this is not a simple case and delays the N400. We see very few cases of this sort so there is no normal.
  5. Obviously I do not know all the details but the basics look good, the financials well the US is expensive, but she knows that and a lot of this seems to be more a financial issue.
  6. She can afford for both of you to live in the US i assume a Moroccan pension will not go far
  7. The usual issue is that after deductions the income is too low. i would go with a well qualified joint sponsor before getting involved in trucks. Are they owned by you or the business?
  8. I have been told that there are closed Facebook groups that specialize in sharing VAWA info, but she has made this very difficult for her.
  9. Your income is shown in your tax filing.
  10. I am not familiar with DED, there than the basics. Presumably TPS allows you to apply for EAD at the same time so that may be the best bet. Does DED give more benefits than TPS?
  11. 14 year old = School so she will be travelling during her holidays?
  12. As a generally rule of thumb you apply for everything you can so definitely TPS. Also a generally comment fee waivers seem to delay matters, so depends on how important you consider this. The T in TPS is temporary and I assume at some point it will go away, what is the long term plan? Is your spouse a USC? Mind you I also I have seen TPS as being described as about as Permanent as you can get.
  13. Everyone who has lived for a while I would think has been scammed one way or another, we live, we learn and I agree what happened happened and there is no ability to go back and change it. I have seen much much worse, maybe not a lot of help, it could have been really bad. Anyway her Immigration situation is hers, and Annulment is not a total barrier for Immigration purposes but if she was thinking of VAWA then you will never know and with an Annulment well that is going to be a BIG ask. Despite coming on a K1 like most people I would suggest Marriage and CR1, one of my live and learn moments. I assume she does not have a US Visitor Visa and would find it hard to get one.
  14. I was wondering what the plan was, there is the I 130 and I 601a route but seems a messy way assuming this was all planned. No one will ever know, perhaps she was ignorant, perhaps she does not care? I know people who are here without documentation, they just live their lives.
  15. To apply for TPS you have to be in the US.
  16. Whether you are actually able to file to adjust depends what you mean by asylum proceedings
  17. Well the worst cases scenario is if the K3 was processed and I have not seen that happen for over a decade.
  18. https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2024/oct/17/middle-east-crisis-live-updates-israel-iran-lebanon-gaza-war Israeli forces may have killed Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar According to a breaking news line by Reuters, an Israeli military spokesperson said that there is a possibility that Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, has been “eliminated”. Reuters adds that the Israeli military are checking this. We will update with more information as it comes in. Here is hoping
  19. My mother-in-law stopped in for a visit. “Staying long?” I asked. “Just until I start getting on your nerves,” she replied. “Oh, so you won’t even stay for tea?” I haven’t spoken to my mother-in-law in six months… I don’t like to interrupt her. A guy is driving along and sees his mother-in-law being attacked by seven blokes. “Aren’t you going to help?!” asked his wife. “No,” said the man, “seven should be enough.”
  20. You can have too much of a good thing.
  21. I wonder who she is voting for? “I don’t stand for Zionism in Montclair!” she says proudly — while holding up a fistful of ripped-down Greek flags. Two staff members eventually come out, looking confused and embarrassed for the dimwitted hater — until one gently points out that these white-and-blue flags are for Greece. “What? Really? Oh I thought it was Israel — my bad,” she says.
