  1. Interesting, I have never heard of that site and never heard of USCIS etc using such a site.
  2. You would revert back to your prior status if the change is not approved assuming you have one.
  3. The ones I have come across before have been handled by the Management Company/ Immigration Lawyers. I have no idea what the 40 hours refers to or why it is any way relevant. Not sure sure there is a definition of full time and if there is it would not be 40.
  4. I looked up Kam some years ago, she was brought up in Canada by her Tamil mother. Her Father is what the Jamaicans call a Brownie, mixed race, I would guess she is about 10% Black.
  5. Another vote for 5 years.
  6. Presumably as she is thinking of the I 864? which does not say that but has been used in Divorce settlements, obviously very much depends on the circumstances. Divorce in DR, legal there legal in the US.
  7. Where I come from a Religious Marriage can also be a legal marriage, I understand in Pakistan that is not the case. There is nowhere in the process it asks about current and former Girlfriends.
  8. Not much an Immigration Lawyer can do, certainly now, maybe if he raises the I 864 in Divorce proceedings, possible but unlikely,
  9. From receiving the invitation to the Consulate interview I think it was a few months, I do remember being surprised how quick it was.
  10. The Humanitarian Parole Programme is temporary, I tend to think of it as a 2 year visitor visa with benefits, quite generous benefits. What the future holds I do not know. Has she petitioned her Brother, yes F4 will take decades but that is due to the number of people applying not because it is a lottery. There was someone a few months back who got the Family Reunification Parole but that is the only one I have come across.
  11. No to trouble with the law. Not your responsibility. Enforcement of the I 864 by the Government well never say never but I have not come across this ever happening and what would he qualify for anyway. I have seen people seek to use the I 864 as apart of the Divorce Settlement, seems he will have responsibilities no matter what. So you need a good Divorce Lawyer. Now quite possible he will be unaware of the potential of the I 864, seems most are.
  12. Well I have seen similar cases, not admittedly at this Consulate, where they have been successful.
  13. Well this could go anywhere but as it involves mega blue cities, Boulder is up there with Berkley, I thought I would post it here. I played in a competition in Denver recently and they had a Ladies Division and I was tempted... All of course in the support of inclusivity. https://www.denverpost.com/2024/10/04/san-jose-state-volleyball-colorado-state-game-trans-player/#m1urep5cgzfc3gcs5ae Keeler: Bravo to CSU Rams volleyball for playing San Jose State, putting championships before cheap political points “I’m really proud with our team leading with kindness and continuing to discover their own selves and what’s important to them,” Colorado State coach Emily Kohan said So the back story is SJS have a bloke on their team, nothing wrong with having a bloke on the team but this is ladies volleyball. I think 4 teams have so far refused to play them. Perhaps I should have entered the Ladies Competition, until just now I did not realise it would have been an act of kindness.
  14. Free to enter Chances of winning small but if you do then that is when you pay.
  15. If it really was terrorism there would be no waiver
  16. Lots of places to visit without issue.
