  1. The service centre times usually are more accurate if you check on the USCIS website. Do you know your service center? You can get it from your receipt number.
  2. The US only requires two covid injections no boosters. This is what I was told by nurse at the medical. I suggest you email them to clarify and or talk to the nurse over the phone. You will need to make sure the covid injection(s) is on your GP summary. You will also require the recommended vaccines from the USA like Pfizer, Moderna, etc. They do not like Astrazeneca as its not approved by CDC.
  3. Just an update - I am still waiting as my PD is not current but we are getting close
  4. Yes - and my PD is not current no more. I am out by 8 weeks.
  5. F2A category has retrogression unfortunately.
  6. I got that at the medical place it was easier!
  7. Yes as your leaving the UK and become a non tax resident
  8. I think just fly to the USA and get a money order and post it from there. I don’t see any way out
  9. I would create a HSBC bank account online and then go in to branch and ask for a US account. However, I've just read they've sold their US retail banking subsidiary off: https://www.hsbc.com/news-and-media/media-releases/2021/hsbc-exits-us-mass-market-retail-banking I am not sure if this is possible. I think its worth asking in branch for of the following banks HSBC/Santandar and Barclays. Also, any luck with Revolut/Monzo etc?
  10. HSBC/Barclays can set you up with a checking account in the USA and they usually give a cheque book or (mastercard).
  11. TFL usually runs normally when there is a strike.
  12. I think potentially they could be end of April as that last one I saw was 20th. There is a lot of earlier April ones too.
  13. Thank you. I was DQ'd 1st week of January so the waiting time is difficult.
  14. I’d really appreciate if anyone knows if the IL for F2a are generated at a differential time to the CR1/Ir1 interview letters?
  15. I am not sure how it all works tbf but I think there will be more ILs in early March.
  16. This is really frustrating for me as two IL's have been since I've been DQ and yet to receive an IL.
  17. I assume the interview letter came early December as they did two IL's in December one on the 9th and one of the 19th?
  18. Thanks for all your help the medical people were super nice! It seems to have gone well fingers crossed. You do not need to take your own photos as they take them. Also just take your GP summary which has your vaccinations, allergies, medical consultations and medical history. There is no need to take all your history from birth etc. If you have children take the red books no matter the age tbf. It will make it easier to workout the vaccinations. Also, the urine sample is age specific and some people might have it. Don't stress if they don't ask you for one.
  19. Hi Welcome to the forum. There is no real way to determine when IL are sent. For example in Jan it was sent on the 11th Jan and then Feb it was 7th. However, in December IL's were sent twice. There has been months were they are just skipped too. I do think Feb might get two IL's rounds as there is a lot of people waiting still and that DQ's are happening quicker now too.
  20. Thanks for letting me know. When did your husband DQ?
  21. Unfortunately I don't have an interview letter just yet.
  22. I need someone advice regarding the NVC email. Which email can I use as proof for the medical? As the embassy states they want proof of case numbers and type of visa. The email I have from NVC has the case number. Thanks in advance
  23. Wow thank you for the insight! Congratulations on the passport and completing the journey I’ve got the medical booked finally!
