  1. Hi I am a US citizen and my wife and I have been DQ’d since June 2023. We are awaiting an interview appointment at US Embassy Manila. Does anyone know or hear anything about US Embassy Manila picking up the pace on issuing interview appointments? Is it normal to wait 9+ months for an interview at US Embassy Manila?
  2. It says the country of CURRENT residence (if different from nationality). Her country of CURRENT residence is Philippines and not Hong Kong.
  3. Well her country of current residence is Philippines and not HK. And she didn't stay in Hk for a year…unless i’m reading this wrong
  4. My wife and I are on the civil documents part of the NVC process. My wife is from and lives in the Philippines. At one point my wife lived and worked in Hong Kong for a little less than 8 months. She has never been arrested in her life. It was to my understanding that if she lived in any other country for at least a year she would have to provide a police clearance from that country. However on the civil documents section they are asking for a police clearance from HK. Is it ok to leave this section blank and explain that she has never been arrested or committed a crime in HK and she lived there less than 12 months? Anyone with experience on this subject out there?
  5. Ok so I know the current year tax return transcript is mandatory and the previous 2 year tax return transcripts are optional. And we have to submit the i864 in the Affidavit of Support Section on the CEAC website. What other documents do I have to upload if I want to make a strong case?
  6. Hi my i130 for my wife abroad has just been approved. I am currently at the NVC stage and am about to start the affidavit of support. Should I upload my tax return for the past 3 years or my tax return transcript? Or both? Please help TIA
  7. I uploaded the PSA marriage cert a few months back. The Uscis sent me an Email about a week later saying they have received it. I’m still waiting for their decision. I recently tried to expedite my case because my wife is a nurse and it would be a big help if she was here to help care for my elderly and aging mother. Unfortunately my request to expedite was denied. I130 spouse petition PD 04/21/22
  8. Hi I filed a petition for my wife in the Philippines last 04/21/22. I am starting a new job soon and was wondering how to fill out the W4 and later the income twx return. Do I file as married filing seperately and what do I have to do different than before when I filed as single? TIA
  9. How to specifically ask Emma because I just keep getting an automated response
  10. Hi all, I filed the i130 back in April 2022 still haven’t heard anything besides my case is being actively reviewed since 04/22. My wife changed her name on her passport to my last name. Do I have to notify USCIS about this or do I just wait until the next stage (NVC processing) and notify them of the name change? TIA
  11. My wife is in the Philippines and I am here in the USA and am a US citizen. I am the petitioner and my wife is the benificiary for the i130z We filed our i130 04/21/22. My question is will the USCIS schedule my wife for biometrics in the Philippines before approval, denial or RFE? And will they schedule a biometrics appointment for me here in the states before approval, denial, or RFE? Thanks for your time.
  12. So I guess I should be expecting an RFE. What about if it’s the original marrige certificate that was filed with the civil registrar on the same day??
  13. Ok cool and thanks. I looked at your timeline how did you get your i130 approved in a little over one month and what service center was it at? As for the Marriage Certificate does it have to be the one from the PSA for the i130 and NBI? Or is the Cert or Marriage stamped, dated, and signed from the local civil registrar sufficient? Thanks
  14. Yes we were married in the Philippines. Thanks for your time. What kind of details will the NBI need from me when she applies as married? Also does NBI clearance cover all of the Philippines? Or does she have to get a local polic clearance as well?
  15. So Im guessing we need to fill out the paperwork at the NVC stage with her new name. Then in the previous names used section list her old name? Also will she have to get the police clearance certificate in her old and new name? Or how does it work? Thanks for your time.
  16. Hi everyone I filed an i130 on 04/21/2022 for my wife in the Philippines. I am the petitioner and am a USC. We are still awaiting approval for the i130 and my wife wants to change her name on her Philippine passport to my last name since the process is easier while she’s still there in the Philippines as opposed to doing it here in the States. I filed the i130 with her current last name (her father’s last name). Her current last name is on the marriage certificate and her birth certificate. What steps do I need to take to make sure there’s no confusion with her name moving forward in the immigration process? We will file for a CR1 visa upon approval of the i130. PLEASE Help!!
