  1. Why does this sound like such a "checklist to get my visa" comment..? Why not just let your GENUINE relationship develop organically and you will automatically have this evidence..?
  2. You will either have to go through a spouse visa or refile k-1 and do the whole process over again.
  3. I just finished my medical exam last week for my K1 visa in The Netherlands. In terms of my vaccines, I followed the following list: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/vaccinations.html
  4. 1. No, she clearly meets the requirements if she makes over 100k. 2. I think you should not add it with your package. You could add it as supporting evidence for a potential expedite request for the EAD. 3. Yes, I-131 would be good to apply for if you don't think you'll have your green card by next summer One thing to note, USCIS is being extremely slow lately and I've seen cases where green cards come way earlier than the EAD and AP. I suggest taking a look at your local office's processing times for EAD/AP/GC. Good luck!
  5. Siham, I hope you're doing well. Of course we'd love for our parents to visit us but it would be nice to know what you exactly had in mind. Would you like for them to permanently move to the US or is it just for tourist/visitation purposes? Aside from the help that has been given to you so far, I suggest you also find a Morrocan person that has gone through the same experience who can help you so that you can know exactly what the processes are like for people in the same situation as you.
  6. She is not claiming to have the power...? She is literally asking people on this form on how her parents are able to visit her; or is that not allowed and how is that a display of power? Imagine if you were int he same situation. Have a little bit of empathy.
  7. Don't take the risk. I used ASTA-USA to translate my birth certificate, and they give you a signed document that they are a legit translator as well.
  8. I find it crazy that people find ways to clog up this far too congested pipeline even more. I simply can't imagine myself going through ALL that miserable waiting, being apart from my soon to be wife (yay), only for us to abandon the whole idea of a K1 visa after finally entering the country.... Sorry, just my personal thought and opinion because it does bring up some emotions.
  9. You clearly don't want help. People keep telling you you're wrong, but until now you've only been combative. Not even going to bother with replying or helping. I'm out.
  10. Apparently your ex-husband was abusive and is still around, so excuse my condolences.
  11. Hi Carolyn, First things first, I'm sorry to hear about your denial, and hope you can deal with the emotional baggage this journey brings. That being said, I don't want to come across as judging, but as a concerned human being, and I hope you can see it that way also. I want to ask you some questions, and I really hope you can be critical with yourself, and put any emotion aside: 1. How sure are you that this relationship is bonafide on his side? 2. Are you with this young person because of any emotional attachments you had to your previous husband (also, I'm so sorry for your loss)? 3. Are there a deeply rooted emotional or even spiritual issues that you haven't addressed? 4. Have you thought about how this could impact your future? I am sorry if I seem super direct in my questions. I know someone who's husband passed away and is chained to a terribly toxic relationship that many people tried to get them out of. We know that this person has a problem that's rooted within a desire to be loved and to get attention. When faced with these problems, we get desperate and often settle for less. I am just wondering if this MIGHT be similar to your case. Again, not confirming; just wondering. Please, don't feel the need to answer my questions now (or ever), but I do advise that you go through a CRITICAL phase of self reflection, maybe with the help of a third party, and come up with answers for yourself. If at the end of this reflective phase, you do decide to remain in this relationship; then I guess you could file for a CR1 after marrying. Good luck Carolyn, and I wish you the best.
  12. I absolutely agree with you. They claim to be prioritizing all the family based visas, so let's hope they keep their word. I'm a software engineer and I'm SO not looking forward to sitting at home all day, waiting for my EAD to arrive while my soon to be wife will be working. I'm just praying that I'll get to work ASAP. I hope all goes well for you guys!
  13. Wow, that is a super long time for you guys! We filed the K1 on April 15, 2021. Also, you should look for your local RIVM office and send them an email (i.e. mine was Regiokantoor RIVM-DVP West). And yup, it was a reliable source. However, I saw that 2 couples were able to schedule their interview over the weekend, so maybe some of them came back from vacation haha.
  14. No problem. I fully agree with ya on being well prepped. I am still waiting for my case number and for my case to be sent to the consulate. It's taking so long 😭, and I've heard that a lot of consular officers on vacation right now, which is why some things are taking longer than usual. When were you approved, and do you have a timeline?
  15. Cool! Ig the yellow book is just a little physical note-pad for the GGD. I lost mine a long time ago, but got a new one last month; so a bulk of my "physical data" is gone but still available at the RIVM. The RIVM has a digitalized record system containing all of your vaccines; so in essence it's the same, but the RIVM has it automated/tracked/digitalized and it can not be lost like a yellow book can.
  16. I'm still waiting for my case to be sent to Amsterdam, but have been preparing already. I have a combination of records: 1. Vaccinatieboekje from the RIVM (you can just ask them to send it to you) 2. Gele boek with some recent vaccines cause i didnt have them all (hep a/b, dktp, pneumo etc) 3. Covid vaccination records I think you can also request these records at your GP office but i dunno
  17. Why did you decide to overstay your visa? The only viable option you have is marrying a US citizen. You should have thought carefully before making such a decision. Your chances of getting any other non-immigrant visas are most likely gone. Good luck and I'm out.
  18. I'm pretty sure another user pointed it out as well, but I meant adjusting of status. Thanks though. I tried to edit my comment, but found myself not being able to do so.
  19. I had a friend do this, I think as long as your intent of your trip wasn't too get married and the CBP is aware of that, then you should be fine. Life happens, things happen. I wish you good luck on your future endeavors!
  20. We submitted almost 200 pages, and got approved on Friday. Better to be safe than sorry.
  21. Hey there, I'm so sorry you're going through all this stress, and I can certainly relate. Unfortunately this is the reality we're living in right now. I filed on April 15, 2021 and have finally been approved on June 3rd, 2021 (Last Friday) after 414 days and the feeling was incredible.. All you can do is wait until you're outside of processing times before you can request an inquiry. You can try and call all you want but you will be severely disappointed and met with the same answers over and over again. If it eases your stress anymore, there is a spreadsheet where they track all April cases and on Monday (yday/today, idk where you're located) they've touched 89 cases. Hang in there, you're almost there. I promise!
  22. Of course! Honestly, I can’t recall if it’s a real requirement and I think a passport would suffice. However, I have a different last name on my Brazilian birth certificate than my current Dutch passport, and I wanted my full name to be on my k1 visa, so I had to submit my birth certificate to prove my full name
