Be ready for a combo / stokes interview. Year is a long time, USCIS could have approved you already.
How did your I-751 interview go? Did you have your spouse with you?
And did you attach I-751 receipt in N-400 filing?

Both.  We received it almost immediately online in the "documents" section in my wife's USCIS account.  We received the hard copy (which I subsequently lost, lol) in the mail a week or so (I think) later.

As @Family suggested, my wife simply uploaded a letter as extra evidence which stated our request and reminded the officer that we had been waiting a long time.  Did it work?  I'm not sure.  Did it do any harm?  Absolutely not.

A few days before the scheduled N-400 interview, we received an email which stated it was mandatory for me to attend since it was a combo interview.

The N400 application is separate and has it’s own list of required evidence.  For submission there is not much needed (reference N400 instructions page 10), unless filing from overseas or as an active military member, you just need to submit a photocopy of your GC and evidence of marital status.  There is a bigger list of evidence that is required for the interview (page 11), and many when filing online will upload that information as well, but it is not required.

    Good Luck!

It happened in our case twice after the original fingerprint notice was sent. We got 3 biometric reuse notices mail to our home total for the i751 case. Did not seem to affect our case.

Forgot to update here guys...I called uscis again and the agent I spoke to said that the previous agent made a mistake. She never changed my request to emergency, she just added a comment 'it's emergency' instead of changing it in the system. Then the new agent changed it and I received a call next day but the officer called me said Houston has no openings until next 30 days and Dallas has one in 3 weeks. I told them I can fly to anywhere in US and they gave me an appointment for the next day in Detroit.

The officer in the Detroit is super nice, she said she was waiting for me as she read about my case already and asked how is Detroit?, what made this stamping urgent etc. She said i-751s are not their focus now as government asked them to work on I-40 or I-45 (not sure). She said i-751s will move quicker starting Jan,2023.

I came back with stamping and immediately I got unrestricted ssn. So, it's a very good idea to get unrestricted ssn especially if you are planning to switch jobs. I was not aware of it, so I want to tell everyone who reads this post...get that unrestricted ssn asap!

Why don’t you have the unrestricted social security card, I assume by unrestricted you mean the card that doesn’t say “work authorization only with DHS permission”.

You can go to the SS office and have your precious SS card converted to an “unrestricted” one. I did that and ID renewal to remove that “Temporary” stain as one of the first things after getting my GC.

Very slim chance that your expedite request will be entertained as ROCs are among the bottom of the totem pole of priorities.

Get your SS and ID renewed to reflect permanent residency even if it’s conditional.

Thanks guys. I have the ID and I just need the SSN and SS website says they need I-551 stamping to get unrestricted one. Looks like I should get it right after I get my stamping so that I don't have problem next time.

True, they have to go by the book but that's the problem. USCIS doesn't allow making appointments for infopass before 30 days of expiration date and I tried calling earlier during last 2 stamps and it din't work. Their website and the email they sent me clearly mentioned they call with in 30 days and schedule appointment for normal and within 72 hours for emergency. I am definitely not asking them a special favor as I am already waiting for 33 months for my i-751 extension. Also, they can give 1 year i-551 stamps but they didn't. I did not have good experience during my 1st stamping, during SR  and when I called earlier week. Their website mentioned they process the cases in the order they receive but they don't. I am just tired and all I want is they doing what they mentioned on their website or emails. What if it's not my job..maybe my parents are seriously not well back home and I have to travel? No point in thinking all this though.Maybe they will call right in the 72nd hour..hopefully! Even if they don't, looks like there is nothing I can do.

I will do what you guys said, I will request PTO for few days after 21st or move join date further and I keep calling uscis regularly until I get the appointment.

As above, you *should* be ok because of the covid extension policy, but in this case it appears to be by luck rather than judgement.

I think you should maybe look into a different attorney… one who acts on your instructions as the client, not the other way around, and when required.
If not, what are you paying them for?

We will consider a response received within 60 calendar days after the due date set forth in the following requests or notices before taking any action, if we issued the request or notice anytime from March 1, 2020, through March 26, 2022:
Request for Evidence; Continuation to Request Evidence (N-14); Notice of Intent to Deny; Notice of Intent to Revoke; Notice of Intent to Rescind; Notice of Intent to Terminate regional centers; and Motion to Reopen an N-400 Pursuant to 8 CFR 335.5, Receipt of Derogatory Information After Grant. You will be ok.  But do maintain your sense of urgency.

Buy a refundable/changeable ticket home to collect proof of your dad's illness. You will need to call USCIS and request an emergency appointment for the i551 stamp. You should get an appointment in one or two days.
You will need to bring proof of the urgent need for the stamp.

You could take the evidence of the urgent need for the stamp to the field office and see if you can convince the staff at the field office to let you walk in to get one.

You need to respond to the RFE by the dead line.  If your lawyer doesn’t respond that won’t absolve your unless you plan to pursue an appeal on the basis of ineffective assistance of counsel.

Dallas office. Mine is waiver, officer don't know about it. VO asked me why my spouse was not there and I said I am divorced. Asked divorce date, reason for divorce, address when divorced, do we have any kids together and current address. That's all. I submitted lots of documentation. Hopefully, officer goes through it soon and approve. If my case status doesn't change next week too, I might start worrying

I-751 receipt numbers with the prefix MSC are routed for interview scheduling; receipt numbers that do not contain the MSC prefix (e.g., EAC, VSC, LIN, etc.) are routed to the appropriate service center for an interview waiver determination. The speakers also clarified that, if the jointly filed I-751 petition is pending at the time of the N-400 interview, an applicant should bring his or her petitioning spouse to the naturalization interview.

National Benefits Center (NBC) The NBC was created by USCIS in 2001. The NBC's mission is to process applications that are to be sent to a local service center for interview. Each application (work authorization, travel document, spouse visa and green card application) is assigned a case number.

Yup, I met multiple attorneys and they all said It’s good to prove to the uscis that I filed for divorce only after I tried hard to keep the marriage successful especially in this case as she is accusing me that I married her for gc and she might have already written  letters/emails to uscis.

Sorry about the predicament you are in.  Having an attorney makes sense in that case.  To answer your original question, it should not matter which attorney you bring in, but make sure to get copies of all the filings your other attorney submitted, so any new attorney can review them prior to your interview.

    Good Luck!
