Thank you BollyB , I was told that nothing will happen to him because its humanitarian and its confidential and it's not about him ,its about me but I still feel guilty, nervous, scared and anxious. Your story is also similar to mine ,thanks for sharing ❤

Trust me… no matter how bad your case or my case is, there’s been worse. I’m just grateful for life and for summoning courage to go ahead with this. Let the stories of others motivate you… there’s light at the end of the tunnel. This community has helped me. For reassurance you can find time to read through each page… before I filed and was going crazy, at my wit’s end I literally went page by page to read through it all, it helped. Don’t be scared, instead be thankful for this provision to be able to file despite everything. 🤗❤️🌹

Lately I am feeling scared and depressed. I saw this forum ,I really need help .I file for VAWA and I am now having second thoughts to withdraw my petition .My spouse is a greencard holder ,we still living together.i also have  feeling of guilt ,I think he can be convicted and deported because of my application .Also I feel it will hinder his citizenship, I am all alone ,didnt tell no one what I did.i feel this feeling giving me nervousness and I cant eat ,I just need someone to talk to .Please help me .We are together for over 20 years .

    Sorry about how you feel.

I have a very long history with mine as well (decades) so I understand the guilt you feel. Mine is also a green card holder. Don’t feel guilty, what happened happened even if they pretend to change or they eventually change… this vawa petition saves us from the so many uncertainties with spouses that derive pleasure in manipulating and controlling or worse.

this is a safe space (although public) but everyone here understands what it’s like. I was told they do not get to know about your case as long as you do not inform them about it. I doubt it will affect them but if it does, it was bound to happen with or without your application. Do not feel guilty please! You can withdraw if you want to but I wouldn’t because gaslighting is part of the many tricks up his sleeve and I’m done being naïve. It’s taken a while for me to come to this realization but that’s my 2 cents. 🌹🤗

Hi all, I have come to the conclusion that Uscis Vermont May not answer our queries.

But they don't ignore any request sent to them by the congressional liaison.

Do not hesitate to use this tools whenever you want an answer from Vermont vawa unit. 😀😀😀

Unfortunately, I can’t get hold of mine. Anyone get response from a congressperson in Southern California?

Look in a mirror and repeat defiant things to yourself ("I am NOT useless!"  "I WILL survive this!") half a dozen times aloud, with increasing determination each time, and see how much "less bad" you feel afterwards. :)

Good, good, and good.  In addition, find someone in even worse condition than you think you're in (there's always someone -- a shut-in, someone terminally ill, someone in grief) and offer to help, even if it's holding their hand.

Indeed.  You can never be broken with such mutual strength around you.

Plus, two jokes per week!

    Thank you 🙏🏽
    This is encouraging.

The jokes help a lot as well.

I just received my prima facie and wondering how i can be able to see all these updates or get them before hand without having to go to USCIS website and manually put in my case number. Thanks

Lawfully and case tracker app is what I use. Don’t know if there are others 🤷🏽‍♀️

Just an update, vj family: I got my C31 card last week, after USCIS mailed to my lawyer who then mailed to me. C31 card production update was on 11/1/21. I had submitted C9 ead renewal in Feb 2020, for which I sent expedite request a couple days before I got the c31 card production update on the i360. USCIS denied my C9 renewal expedite request yesterday, as I expected, since I already got my C31 EAD. Thanks to the group for educating and tolerating me through the years.

Question: Do they still issue C9 EAD after C31 approval, or will they eventually deny the C9 EAD renewal?

Congrats on getting your card in hand 🎉🎊

Hi folks, today I received this notification and it seems my I360 has been approved. Here you will see my timeline. I was devastated when my marriage finished but now I see a light after all this process. I never received a prima facia during these two years and my I485 was transferred from my marriage process.

btw, my i765 -C09 renewal is still pending since september 2020.

good luck to every one and never lose your faith.

    Congratulations 🎉🎊

I went for my interview today… went in 30 mins prior. My lawyer supposed to come with me but she came late. So I went in without her. The IO asked if I want to wait for her but I told her there is no need. She asked my date of birth, parents name, if I have kids, I had two, the second one just one month ago. She asked for their birth certificates, then my divorce decree, yes or no question and that was it. She later gave me a paper that after background check, they will make a decision.
After 10 mins, I got update that my card is being produced. I’m so happy this is the end of the journey since 2016 I got married to my abuser . Filed Vawa 2018.
i wish everyone all the best.

Do Not go to the interview without a lawyer. Especially if you had a second interview, and they have doubts about your marriage. I recently had an interview in Pittsburgh, and it was a total crash. I went there by myself, thinking it will not be hard. Brought my taxes, all papers. But the officer didn't care about my taxes, he said that he doesn't need them. All he cared about was to break me or bring me to the breaking point. He start questioning me from the day 1 I came to the US, how I met my husband, why didn't I go back when my marriage didn't work, that I am a bad mom, since my kids are in my country, and I don't care about them. I was in shock. He started blaming me that I am from the Russian community, who pretty good knows how to prepare papers and fool migration. I never heard about such an interview. It was a lot. He kept me for more than an hour, with his blaming game. I was trying to answer him also, but since I was alone, I couldn't tell him you have no right to talk to me like this. I was afraid he could do something worse and just tried to give answers. He told most of you migrants do these, thinking that we are in USCIS here all stupid, but we are not. bla bla bla. In the end, he told me he doesn't believe me, even my case was approved in Vermont and he has to investigate it. It has been 2 months since my interview day, and I still didn't get an answer from USCIS. So my advice, do not go there without a lawyer. It is better to have a show watcher than become a show victim of some officer, who hates migrants.

Wow, this is disheartening. Sorry you went through this 🤗
