I also asked embassy to expedite the appointment due to medical reasons. After your NVC expedite, you must also ask for a 2nd expedite at the embassy through their immigrant visa processing email. This is usually Consular(embassyname)@state.gov

Keep the expedite request short and simple. Explain in couple of sentences. Less is more. More you write, less believable your story. I didn't even include any attachments. 

How soon after being DQd you can expect to get an appointment date from NVC these days? 

For anyone trying to expedite their case, here is my advise. Keep the expedite request short and simple. Less is more. Mine was only  2 sentences. 

It will take 1.5-2 months to hear back once you submit the request. Here is my timeline
 
7/28 Expedite Request Submitted
9/20 Under Review Email 
9/28 Approval

No. Mine is 7/14. I feel left out but i got an email saying my expedite request submitted on 7/28 was under review. Hope at least one will give me a positive result soon. 

Finally a good news. I got DQd today for both my parents. My mom's files were submitted on 7/14. Fathers 7/19 to NVC. Both were approved today 9/23. My expedite request submitted on 7/28 - still waiting for decision. I got under review email on 9/20.

My expedite request was sent on 7/28. It was reviewed today 9/20. Will post after I get a response from embassy .

You won't get anything from them that they received anything.  It will stay showing submitted until they review the doc's and either accept them, reject them or ask for more doc's.  You will get an email when any of those things happen and if all are accepted you will get an email that you are documentary qualified.  

You're absolutely right, we submitted on Jul 14, and yesterday we finally got reviewed! after almost 3 month of waiting! now the wait starts for the interview..

Its a bit heavy handed approach recommended by lawyers to extract more money likely further complicate things with NVC and embassy. When the COVID situation goes away, things should get back to normal for all government agencies.

They moved 6 days this week... that's great news

It depends on how big the backlog is at that consulate, and their operating procedures at the current time.  Once a case is DQ'd, the case goes into a queue at NVC for that specific consulate.  When the case reaches the front of that queue, NVC will schedule the interview. 

we were reviewed today, our submission date was 8th July. (Further documents requested).
