My employee applied for a Social Security number (SSN) but has not yet received it. What should I do?
A case cannot be created in E-Verify without an SSN. If a newly hired employee has applied for, but has not yet received his or her SSN (e.g., the employee is a newly arrived immigrant), attach an explanation to the employee’s Form I-9 and set it aside. Then create a case in E-Verify using the employee’s SSN as soon as it is available. If you are unable to create a case by the third business day after the employee’s first day of employment, select Awaiting Social Security number when prompted by E-Verify.

Hi all,
I have just collected my passport with my visa (IR1) attached from London (woohoo). A quick question, or please direct me to the correct forum! On the state department website, it says that I should have received a sealed packet which mustn't be opened - I only received my passport in a small red plastic packet. Should I have received something else? Or have things changed?

After CEAC changed from Administrative Processing to issued my Passport with visa was in my hand the very next day.

I was approved during my interview on the 13th July. I had my CEAC status changed to “issued” the following day and then received my documents in hand the day after that. I entered the US on the 22nd July. 😊

It’s all digital for IR1/CR1 visas in London. You get no paper document files since the switch to digital files.

I would reach out to the Warsaw Embassy IV unit, not American Citizen Services, if possible. USC Services usually just handles paperwork stuff for US citizens, not visas.

Others on VJ have successfully had their cases transferred to Warsaw.

Hi, I had my interview a week ago and they asked for th ds-260 application (the actual application, not the confirmation) and the petitioner's tax returns...I even gave 2020 tax returns too. I was lucky because I had my whole folder with me, but I don't recall reading anywhere about taking them. So make sure you take them!!!
