Maki&Kiki got a reaction from randomstairs in i-551 stamp question
Yea i was born in Serbia and i put Serbia as cob and even sent them updated birth certificate that states Serbia as i totally forgot about Yugoslavia lol. But yeah i was born in the time of Yugoslavia, country changed name to Serbia and Montenegro and then to Serbia (Republic of Serbia). Thanks for replying, i just feel way better now~when i googled about error on gc i found one old post with same issue (he put serbia as cob, but also got gc with unkown, same as me as he was born in Yugoslavia~, so it’s something about that)
  2. Thanks

As others say, you're fine.  Should a CBP agent notice and mention this, explain per above; if not accepted, ask for the supervisor on duty.  The overwhelming chance is that no one will say a thing.

None of my green cards were correct, and it never deterred me from traveling.

Worst case, CBP will take your GC and give you an I-551 stamp.  Based on your timeline, you have a 2 year GC.

I have never seen I-90 approved with a 2 year GC,. I have seen I-90 denied within 30 days of filing I-751.

You were probably born in one of the Yugoslavia(s) (the SFRJ or the later one).  It's common to see "Unknown" for those who put "Yugoslavia" or similar as their country of birth. Even though the instructions now specify that the name of the country at the time of birth is the one to put in there, the "Yugoslavia" causes issues. (That's why the DoS has the opposite instruction - use the *current* name of the country. Historical names can be complicated, as you can see.) The "unknown" is not an error as far as I know and probably doesn't need to be corrected. Unless they ask you to, do not send them your GC. You can keep using it unless you have reported it lost or stolen, etc.

File online - that way you get to keep GC until they ask for it back. Make sure to attached whatever you used for K-1 visa so you can prove you have actual COB and it's their mistake.

Agreed with @milimelo you only send the GC with mistake at the very end of I-90 processing. It's in your best interest to fix the mistake. Good news, you don't have to pay fees if you check the right boxes on the form.

I confused case number with invoice number. When we called NVC we got 2 numbers : Invoice ID which consist of eight numbers and CASE NUMBER that starts with three letters and 10 numbers. I don't remember if we ever used Invoice ID. So you might not even have to call NVC for it. To my knowledge, Invoice ID is used to pay the fee for marriage visa. You can complete ds 160 with your Case Number: BGT######. When paying the k1 visa fee I really don't remember what number we put. Post above say Ds 160 application/receipt number. It sounds correct. But even if you need invoice somewhere in the process, you can call NVC. To give it to you, operator will ask for uscis receipt number (#wac) and both names and date of birth. But you might be able to complete the process with just case number and ds 160 receipt number. It's really not that hard, especially last step (registering and paying the fee, website is well designed with no lag and everything is explained well).

There are couple of steps left:
Beneficiary completes DS 160. Just read each and every question carefully before answering.
She registers and pays the visa fee online.
Once you have interview date she can schedule medical exam.
Meanwhile, as interview date comes closer, she collects all documents needed for it (proof of payment, 2x usa style passport pics, her police certificate, birth certificate, her children birth certificate (if any), court documents (if convicted of crimes), yours and hers divorce certificate (if ever been married) or death certificate if spouse passed away, evidence of relationship, your affidavit of support and supporting documents (your employment letter, tax transcripts and pay stub), letter of intent x2 etc.. there is complete guide here on visajourney what to bring to the interview.

You are almost done  You got this. Really not complicated at all, you don't need attorney. You can always come back and ask here if any question.

    Thought I give an update:

Just got RFE requiring submittal of completed form I-693 (report of medical examination and vaccination record). See below for RFE letter.

We're planning on moving forward with getting remaining vaccination to meet the minimum requirements. Even if series of shots are required to complete vaccination, only need one shot of each required vaccine to complete I-693.
    https://www.uscis.gov/tools/designated-civil-surgeons/vaccination-requirements
    https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/civil-surgeons/vaccinations.html#anchor_1506438009968
also screenshot of table 1 below

Then we're going to find uscis civil surgeon to do the full examination. We're not going to debate/argue with USCIS on this since we don't know what is our chances of winning the argument. Not the best situation to be in with this RFE, but quickest solution is to complete I-693.

Even though our DS-3025 was complete and submitted, we still received this RFE. But, sounds like a lot of people are getting this same RFE requiring completed I-693. This is possibly due to the recently adjusted hepatitis b age requirements (which were extended to 59 years old), see forum post below.

Fairness has nothing to do with it.
Its why you need to know the consequences of what you are doing before you do it.
The law and intent of WOM is very clearly stated. It is to force /require a decision ..  but it does NOT require the process to be “ expedited” or pushed through

I used to use the same reasoning with my kids ( now in their 40s)   They would want my decision now.   I would offer them this
“ If you want my answer now, it will be No.. if you are prepared to wait until i am ready to decide, it might be Yes.”
They always chose to wait   Clever wise bunnies 🤪

You write a nice letter for your congressional/senator's immigration aide, detailing all the info you have and providing copies of evidence you have (DS-3025, CDC info on vaccines, that chart above showing it's not age appropriate). Then you ask assistance from them to get in touch with USCIS office that has your case (field office, where did the denial letter come from?) and ask them to reopen the case on the basis of misapplication of medical basis rules on vaccination in adjudication of AOS.

If your congressional/senator's immigration aide office is nearby, you go there in person (schedule an appointment ahead of time in case they don't accept walk-ins) - if not, email should suffice  and then you can follow up with a phone call. When I had a USCIS issue (non-production of green card post POE), I handled it all via email.

Ouch, sorry that it happened to him. On other forum, guy from Serbia was asking help about b visa, stating how he is unemployed, how he is gay and wanted to visit gay parade and museum of barbie dolls and how he is going to stay 10 days only. We all tried to encourage him. He ended up getting visa, in his visa they put poe and i believe how many days he is supposed to stay as he was higher risk of overstaying. Guess what, he lied about staying 10 days only,  he is bragging how he is gonna stay in usa forever and seek asylum on basis being a gay. Thanks to ppl like him a lot of honest applicants are unable to fulfill their bucket lists or visit their families:/.

    Suggestion:
Expedites are initiated through the call center.
You plead your case to the agent and they will immediately during the call, deny or advise you to submit proof of reason for expedite and how to do that.

Sounds like you have not even submitted the valid AP evidence like your immediate relative's (parent, sibling or child only) death certificate or doctor's note stating terminal illness with X amount of time to live so likely nothing is even on hold.
By the text you quoted, it seems it is not a response to your expedite and only informing you of the hold on all pending concurrent cases (well what you quoted indicates that and I see no correlation between what was quoted and it having anything to do with an expedite of any kind).

Sounds like you want to cancel even though you haven't been invited to submit your proofs (not sure as it isn't clear?)

Doesn't seem like there is anything to cancel if you haven't been asked by a phone agent how to submit your DC or doctors note for your parent, sibling or child.

An RFIE for an I-485 will place a hold on your I-131 and I-765 processing.  It sounds, to me, like they have not processed the evidence you sent.  Until USCIS approves the evidence, it is on hold.

Write your statement and include whatever statement or details you have learned, up to name of mosque that fired him and shady circumstances….then walk in to a local UPS location ( or others that have a walk in notary) and mail your statement, then email copies and put the issue to rest.

You have the right to “fall apart “ for a minute or two….then be kind and gentle to your self and baby but most of all…find a nugget of gratitude in your heart that you both escaped a lifetime of deceit, distress and whatever his parents /brother and immediate family described.

Don’t go trying to locate him…when you are ready for family court , if he is still MIA , request service by publication ( newspaper ad)..your attorney or legal aid clinic can walk you through.

And stop trying to Text/ Call him …but put ALL your own family/friends on speed dial and talk/cry your heart out as often as you need to.

I did call and got the ICE officer voicemail. He has yet to return my call. I am emotionally drained, so I am trying to keep my focus here without falling to pieces. I think he did do the religious marriage as stated. Although, I suspect he is living with someone who he was friends with prior to meeting me. She is an older lady roughly 65 and he was in contact with her. She lives in the same state that he did POE. So, I do have an address for her that I will try to serve the papers to. I believe he was plotting to do this to me for a while now. I think it is very disgusting that he snuck back into this country on the visa that we got for our child we had previously lost. Then he never had the decency to even come meet this baby. I had my delivery without him and that makes me feel stupid. He was fooling around in another state enjoying life while I was in the hospital having his child. It cuts like a knife. I am very hurt. I will do what is best for me and the baby. I am going to my attorney tomorrow and I also will be seeking therapy as this has mentally affected me as he is a narcissist. I never knew this was going to be in my destiny. I feel like my entire world is crumbling down before me and nothing will ever be normal again. Looking back, I went through old emails, and he was always running away and blocking me during important events in my life. I should have known better. I hope his new victim finds out how he is fast before she gets pregnant, and he leaves her as well (if it is not the 65-year-old). He was also talking to daughter, so I suspect she left her husband for mine. That is what I have come to believe after some investigating and talking to his best friend via my Pakistani brother-in-law (sister's husband) and a friend. Sorry to rant, but I needed to let it all out. Thank you all for the advice. I do have an old account here but due to feeling ashamed I wanted to be anonymous in case he reads this to protect myself.

Wife's EAD and AP were approved on 28 OCT.  We put in an expedite request for EAD due to the fact that we brought her elderly father over on U4U and used the fact that she wanted to contribute to supporting him.  Also, we did not plan on full time supporting him when we submitted the paperwork.  They got back to us 2 weeks later with the approval.
The only approval pending now is the I-485.  Good luck to everyone!
