  1. Does anyone know what are we supposed to do after NVC has approved all the documentation uploaded? Do we email the embassy for the email or should we just wait until nvc sends an email with the interview date?
  2. Oh ok so it doesn't matter that they have been petitioned in individual forms?
  3. There is this question in the DS-260 asking if my father-in-law will be travelling with his spouse. They both have been petitioned but each had an individual I-130 form, so I'm not sure if I should put reply like this Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. with you? no Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you? yes
  4. Can I submit a I-864a? If I submit a I-864 then my income is not enough to sponsor both parents, as my 2022 taxes were just above the poverty line guide to sponsor 4 people.
  5. He started working December 2022, so he just got one paycheck that year 😂 we still filed married-jointly with that paycheck plus my income That's why I'm not sure if I should make him file I-864a (as his sister household member) and me file one as well as is my income. He still is working in that same position.
  6. Hi ! I'm going through something similar, how did you end up filling the forms? My sis in law is sponsoring both my in-laws but my hubby just started working so my income is what we filed with taxes.
  7. I'm sorry I'm just not really understanding 🥺 Somebody told me that my sister in law should file I-864 and my husband just the I-864A as we live under the same house. It was better this way as if I become a joint sponsor then we would have to count him, myself and my daughter in the household thererefore we have to make a higher income. I believe they said that because she's trying to sponsor both parents. I'm not sure tbh that's why I'm so confused 😕
  8. I was thinking maybe so he can show that he could use his assets (checking & savings) in case she needs it?
  9. ohhh okay. For I-864A, should I also file one? We filed jointly taxes for 2022, but all of the income was mine. I don't mind signing the contract as he started working this January anyways. What do you suggest? Just two I-864A from him? ohhh okay. For I-864A, should I also file one? We filed jointly taxes for 2022, but all of the income was mine. I don't mind signing the contract as he started working this January anyways. What do you suggest? Just two I-864A from him?
  10. Hi, I have four questions. Please, please bear with me 🙏 Context: My sister in law is bringing both her parents to the USA. They have been approved already so she now has to file an affidavit. Therefore, my husband has offered his income/assets if she were to need it (most likely) but we currently live in the same house/address as her. My following questions are: 1. Does she need to file two different I-864 (one for each parent?) 2. If not, then that means she should only file once and just add either parent as an extra member she'll be sponsoring? 3. In part 5 of I-864, it says "optional" to add a sibling who will submit I-864A but im guessing she should add my hubby in it? 4. Does my husband need to file two separate I-864A or just one and add both parents in it? Thank you in advance!
  11. Amazing! Thank you so much, I'll tell her to upload income paystubs
  12. Finally a sane comment. Thank you. So her schedule is more than 40 hours per week, should I just write down the income she would on that or just the 40 hours? I've done the I-864 by myself but this time it's confusing or I'm just overthinking it lol
  13. For year 22, it was $30,000 because I helped her out with taxes. Which is why I know she'll deff make double so I'm not sure if she's okay to sponsor only her mom and I could def help her with her dad in case her 2022 taxes might not be enough.
  14. She's a workaholic and is payed double for the extra hours. She used to live abroad, decided to come the USA in April 2022, May 22 we submitted her parents petition and she started working in August 22. She didn't under report her earnings, just did a lot of extra hours. She'll most likely make double this upcoming year which is why I'm thinking she could sponsor her mom herself and I can help out with her dad ?
  15. Fortunately she got promoted and is earning $21 hour plus extra hours. Her paystubs are not bad so that's why I was wondering if she could at least sponsor her mom by herself and then I can joint sponsor for her father
  16. She's only one person and was only 5 months employed when she filed her taxes.. I believe she'll be able to sponsor only her mom at least?
  17. Hello! My sister-in-law is petitioning for her parents to come to the USA and both I-130 applications have been approved (parents live abroad). We have decided to continue with her mother's process as her dad's case hasn't been created at NVC yet. She made around $30k this year which is enough for her to file an affidavit by herself. However we're not sure if she would need a co-sponsor when we she files an affidavit for her father. We're willing to help as we live in the same household. We made $38k this year plus have a house, bank accounts etc. Should we let her file only her as a sponsor for her mom and then add ourselves as co-sponsors for her father?
  18. Same for my in-laws. Only one has a case created at NVC so we're not even if we should continue processing or wait for the other one to catch up .
  19. Hi everyone! My parents-in-law I-130 got approved yesterday. Do you guys know what follows? They aren't in the USA but rather will apply for a green card through the embay.
  20. Thanks! I was just going to ask how long it usually took after the approval 😂
  21. My husband didn't really have a hard time with them but that was back in 2021 😂 hopefully it hasn't changed
  22. Hi Is it possible for a U.S citizen to apply for a K1 visa petition while also petitioning for their parents? My sister in law would like to petition for her boyfriend/fiance but is currently petitioning for both her parents. Is it possible?
  23. Nothing on our end about my mom in law nor my father in law docs... 7 months in so deff more waiting to do. We're at Texas Service Center and it at 11months for processing right now
