Our old HOA was precisely like this, sigh man. Someone watering his lawn walked off for Many minutes and got a letter about leaving a hose in view, man. There are other petty examples in a list a mile long, si and sigh and and and man.

Not nearly as ridiculous as the one where ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s casa still is, no man. Ours has an approval form, but often it's pro forma if one says, "just like at [neighbor's address]," si man. We wonder how vague we can be when reporting/requesting the color, si man: -- "same as current," e.g. man -- "cream/off-white or in the yellow family," e.g. man -- "something in the Sherwin-Williams range ___-___," e.g. man We shall ask our neighbor who knows the HOA dude, si man. Neighbor does say that often the HOA dude will stamp approvals without going through the HOA Board, si man.

Year precised, see and si and mam ma'am. Window number precised, see and si and mam ma'am. Moved footage precised, see and si and mam ma'am. --- To do Many windows in one day is either impressive or lazy, conclude we man. We must have misunderstood the one contractor, What's That You Say About Our Bearings Needing Flecked man. He said that each window would have to be off for Many-&-a-half hours, strange if true man. Conversely, the guy just today said "Many (2+2+1) minutes," much more palatable man. However, we are NOT going to move everything Many feet away, not fizzicly possible man. You have pegged miu precisely, si accurate mam ma'am ma'am. In good gnus (polite antelopes?), today's guy says that he'll work like an illegitimate male child to get his quote as close as possible to the above guy's, $i man. He needs to get window quotes, supplier takes a day or two of time man. We're torn between retaining current paint color or switching, change we man. If we change, repainting surviving stuff (garage doors, et al.) will cost somewhat more, $igh man. However, we're bored with the current color, yawn man. Input is solicited, solicitous we man.

VAWA, Part 27
TBoneTX replied to TBoneTX's topic in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
It's already Wednesday, and therefore already time for our Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke: =========================================== PROBLEMS THAT CATS ENDURE EVERY DAY Spent all day hunting for a delicious mouse... human won't eat it. My human stopped rubbing my belly just before I could bite him. I want to zoom around and meow for no reason... but it's not 3 a.m. I'm hungry... but my bowl's only 90% full. I want to sit on the keyboard... but no one is using it. I spent all day sleeping... now I'm tired. I want to go out... but I also want to stay in. My human looks at other cats on the Internet. Our love is a lie. I want to ask for food, but you're not busy. Food dish is half-empty... starvation is imminent. It really hurts me when you shut the bathroom door. I want to play on the bed... but no one's sleeping on it. I haven't eaten all day. Breakfast doesn't count, because I barfed it on the rug. -

BBC's Trump deception is a stain on all of Britain — and it's just one bit of its bias If you come for Donald J. Trump, you better not miss. That's a lesson the BBC just learned the hard way. The Beeb went after Trump, slurring him with vicious lies. It used its flagship current-affairs show to defame him as a fascistic monster who stirred up violence at the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. And the result of these outrageous libels has been not the fall of Trump, but the fall of the BBC. Justice Department's allegations against James Comey Democratic talking points insist President Trump is out for revenge. They say he hired former beauty queen Lindsey Halligan to pursue his enemies, even though she is in way over her head. It turns out Ms. Halligan is more than just a pretty face. Unlike the slapdash legal work done to persecute Mr. Trump during the previous administration, her latest court filing paints a damning portrait of James B. Comey's alleged deeds. Notes scribbled in the former FBI director's own hand establish his knowledge of [...] https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2025/nov/8/editorial-justice-departments-allegations-james-comey/

Scintillating Tuesday repartee, yawn man. ----- Thrilling Tuesday report, see man: Did not leave the casa all day, ensconced we man. Poor overnight zzz, sigh man. Spent much of day answering contractor responses, arrange we man. One caucus Wednesday morn, one Thursday afternoon, caucus we man. Another asked for a time-range but never replied after we gave one, snooze-and-lose man. Two didn't reply at all, bye man. We have 2 contracts already, earlier man. One is a single page, just work scope and prices man. Another is Many (2x2x2x2x2 -2-2) pages, whoppingly complete man. We figure that Many (2+2) quotes are adequate, si man. Breakfast/lunch (at Many p.m.) was TG, ingest we man. Din-din was 2 bagels + margarine, ingest we man. Miu quiescent all day so far, quiescent miu man. Mama T-B. phoned Many (2+1) times, at wit's end senior she man man. The infernal hospice outfit won't stock enough incontinence products, man. Furthermore, the hospice workers manhandle her when changing her, fragile senior she man man. However, she won't let us complain to bosses, fearful of retribution man. She has a point, but nothing will change without mentioning it to highers-up man. If anyone has replaced siding/windows, we need insights as to, see man: -- how to cover window holes when old windows are off for Many hours before new ones go on, si man; -- how to protect inside items from dust/weather if window holes can't be blocked, si man; and -- how to keep casa temperatures livable if window holes are wide-open or merely tarped, si man No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. Caucus with contractor, visit to Mama T-B., and possibly visit to Costco Business Center on Wednesday, plan we man. And that was/is our thrilling Tuesday, report we man.

Here's another thoughtful piece. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Remembering the SS Edmund Fitzgerald Today marks the 50th anniversary of the wreck of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior. It is not the anniversary of the song; shortly after the Nov. 10, 1975, tragedy, Gordon Lightfoot put pen to paper and took guitar in hand to write a song that continues to resonate even in 2025, but it would not be released until 1976. The song, of course, played a major role in immortalizing the disaster. Lightfoot created an honest, raw 20th-century folk song. Unlike Bob Dylan's interesting and admittedly catchy ramblings with their oddball imagery, or Bruce Springsteen's efforts to create a working-class mythology, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" is a heartfelt tribute to the men who died. It is not a dirge, but a ballad in the truest sense of the word. It tells a real story, about real people. The melody, lyrics, structure, and Lightfoot's voice all come together to create a sense of loss, sorrow, and empathy. Even in 2025, the song still evokes feelings of grief and mourning for the 29 lost lives, sometimes among people who were not even born when the Edmund Fitzgerald took her crew to their graves. Some story... ~~~~~~~~~~ Man arrested for smuggling 21 people in trailer filled with rotting papayas A man is facing federal smuggling charges after Border Patrol agents at the Sarita checkpoint found 21 people hidden behind a false wall in a tractor-trailer hauling moldy, rotting papayas. Rodolfo Hernandez-Perez is charged with using a vehicle to smuggle people in the country illegally. Hernandez was arrested Saturday at around 1:45 a.m. when he arrived in a blue Volvo tractor hauling a white trailer at the checkpoint. During an immigration inspection, Hernandez told a Border Patrol agent he was alone and that he was hauling papayas, according to a criminal complaint. After reading the article, do you consider this to be like the hysteria from anti-Trump celebrities? It sounds to me more like healthy concern, with the financial worries coming before the oppression part. I do find it ironic that Plano is courting people, given the massive Sharia complex being built nearby. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From Texas to Tel Aviv, invitations go out to Jews fleeing 'Mamdani's New York' Just hours after New York City's mayor election was called for Zohran Mamdani, a top Israeli official issued an invitation. "New York will never be the same again, especially not for its Jewish community," Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli tweeted. "I invite the Jews of New York to seriously consider making their new home in the Land of Israel." Chikli's call dovetailed with another appeal to Jewish New Yorkers made by a spokesman for the Jewish settlement in Hebron, Yishai Fleisher. "Indeed, it was a great run, and you were a blessing to NYC. But Jews will feel less and less comfortable in the Big Apple," tweeted Fleisher. "So do yourself a favor, buy real estate in the Land of Israel." The outreach from Israel sought to reach the majority of New York Jews who voted against Mamdani, many of whom saw his criticism of Israel as a warning sign for the safety of the city's Jewish communities under his leadership. Smarmy roof/siding/windows appointment-setter banged on door, man. Of course he refused to give a business card and insisted on getting an appointment, man. He also wore so much cologne that he smelled like a cheap whorehouse, these sorts invariably do man. We very soon got disgusted with him and slam-doored him, man. We looked up his company on Yelp & Angie's List, research we man. They're apparently a major ripoff outfit, Surprise Sergeant Carter man. We did find several other siding/window outfits with whom we requested caucuses, find we man. Din-din was 2 bagels + margarine, ingest we man. RFE For Proof of Citizenship (Passport)

Now it's my turn not to have read carefully. I'd try what rbv_shard did -- photocopy all pages, in color. Perhaps even take photos of each page and combine into one document, if feasible, using a program such as smallpdf.com to reduce the bulk. -
