  4. Of Course They'll Put Trump in Jail Why wouldn't Judge Juan Merchan finish the job and add to the left's glee in calling Donald Trump a "convicted felon" by sentencing him to jail? That fact that Trump's sentencing is on July 11, mere days before the Republican National Convention, would not impede a judge who, according to Trump attorney Alina Habba, covered his mouth to laugh during his sentencing. It would be no impediment to the hand-picked jurist who allowed prosecutors to hide the underlying "crime" for the entire trial, hide witnesses, and overrule the majority of the defense objections in this goat rodeo. What would stop him from jailing Trump? [...] https://pjmedia.com/victoria-taft/2024/06/02/of-course-theyll-try-to-put-trump-in-jail-n4929543

  7. I finally visited the new Seafood City. It's where an old Tuesday Morning store had closed. Large, bright, spotlessly clean, massively comprehensive inventory, all shelves stocked full, and a food court. It wasn't super-busy when I visited (a Saturday noontime); most customers seemed to be elderly folks or middle-aged/younger families. The cashiers, conversely, were mostly young Americans. I was impressed that most checkout lanes were staffed, unlike many U.S. supermarkets where one or two lanes are staffed and customers with melting purchases are backed up halfway into the store. I went up and down every aisle, looking carefully at the products. The frozen sections and open refrigerated cases emphasized seafood, certainly understandable for an island nation. The snack chips were probably more diverse than in U.S. supermarkets. The prices were higher than I typically care to pay, and they're understandable in view of imported and specialty products. I did buy a bag of frozen "Gyoza chicken dumplings" to try, for about $6.59 if I recall. Mini-Bone and I tried these dumplings for lunch that same day, and they were very tasty. We finished the bag today for lunch. I'd say that anyone wanting authentic Filipino chow would not walk out from this place empty-handed or disappointed! The visit was enjoyable and educational, and I appreciate the introduction to a culinary culture previously strange to me. Maybe I'll go back sometime.
  8. I think we're all in the wrong racket. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Couple finds safe stuffed with $100,000 cash while magnet fishing in New York A New York City couple who were "magnet fishing" in a lake caught more than they had bargained for when they pulled out a safe that had $100,000 cash inside. 12. Sunday! Time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke: ============================================== BREAKING THE NEWS TO THE WIFE One night, a Boston police officer knocked on a woman's door. "Ma'am," he said, removing his hat, "I'm here about your husband. We have good news and bad news." "Please, give me the bad news first," the woman said. The officer replied, "I'm sorry to report that someone stabbed your husband to death and threw his corpse into the harbor." The woman began wailing and crumpled to her knees. Utterly despondent, she begged the cop, "Please, what could possibly be the good news?" He said, "Well, ma'am, when we pulled him up, he had 20 four-pound lobsters crawling on him. Would you like one?" Sobbing even louder, the woman shouted, "How DARE you?! I've never been so insulted in my entire life!" The officer replied, "Well, if you change your mind, we're pulling him up again tomorrow morning."

Banana Republics Starting To Feel Kinda Bad For United States [...] According to sources, several banana republics have begun to express concern that the corruption in America has gotten out of hand.
