This sounds awful -- take heed! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Study: Overuse Of Hair Detangler Giving Rise To Product-Resistant Supertangles EL SEGUNDO, CA—Revealing that split ends have grown 50% stronger in just the past decade, a new study published Friday by researchers at the L'Oréal Academy warned that overuse of hair detangler was giving rise to new product-resistant supertangles. "When hair detangler was first developed, we arrogantly assumed we would be living in a world without snagging, but now we face an even bigger threat to smooth, silky hair," said study author Vicki Zhou, explaining that decades of reliance on hair-detangling technology has led to the evolution of supertangles, which can survive the standard chemicals used to improve follicle manageability. Daniel Penny Judge Tells Jury To Go Back And Deliberate Again Until They Come Back With The Correct Verdict NEW YORK CITY — Judge Maxwell Wiley has ordered the jury in Daniel Penny's trial to go back and keep on deliberating until they come back with a different verdict. After four days of deliberation, the jury announced that Penny could not be found guilty of manslaughter. Judge Wiley asked if maybe the jury could just pretend that never happened, and instructed them to think of some new charge to deliberate about until they changed their minds. "Ugh, you guys are making this so hard," sighed Wiley, holding his head in his hands. *Acting* President Trump Speaks Out on Developing Middle Eastern Conflict: 'NOT OUR FIGHT' Things in Syria are getting downright interesting, with opposition fighters closing in on Damascus. Intriguing though this might be, and great as it would be to see some semblance of sanity return to Syria with the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad, it's not America's fight. Acting President Donald Trump gets it. [...] https://redstate.com/wardclark/2024/12/07/acting-president-trump-speaks-out-on-developing-middle-eastern-conflict-not-our-fight-n2182933

We're Back, Baby! Trump Goes to Paris and Reminds the World Who's Number One For those of us patriotic Americans who believe wholeheartedly in American exceptionalism, the last four years have been embarrassing. Anytime Joe Biden has made an appearance on the world stage, we've been left with nothing more than cringeworthy gaffes and viral videos of him acting as if he has no idea where he is or what he's doing there. But today, Donald Trump accepted an invitation from France to attend the re-opening of the Notre Dame Cathedral, which was a damaged in a fire in 2019, and the entire event was symbolic of what I hope will be a return to our original place in the world — a return to the top, a return to respect. Even the Associated Press had to admit that Trump was welcomed with "presidential pop." The media outlet reported: [...] https://pjmedia.com/sarah-anderson/2024/12/07/were-back-baby-trump-goes-to-paris-and-reminds-the-world-whos-number-one-n4934935

Another ISIS-like state caliphate pending. Oh, joy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Iran Withdrawing From Syria Signals That Assad's Days in Power May Be Numbered Iran is abandoning its Syrian ally following rapid gains made by Islamist rebel forces, who are now closing in on the capital Damascus. "Iran is starting to evacuate its forces and military personnel because we cannot fight as an advisory and support force if Syria's army itself does not want to fight," a prominent advisor to the Iranian regime, Mehdi Rahmati, told the New York Times. "The bottom line," he said, "is that Iran has realized that it cannot manage the situation in Syria right now with any military operation and this option is off the table." The unspoken reason Iran is leaving Syria is that Israel smashed Iran's proxy Hezbollah, fatally weakening its ability to carry out operations outside of Lebanon. Significantly, Iran is [...] https://pjmedia.com/rick-moran/2024/12/07/iran-withdrawing-from-syria-signaling-assads-days-in-power-may-numbered-n4934922

Jonathan Turley clarifies what'll happen to these clowns. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sanctuary cities resist Trump's deportation plan. It could cost their residents. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston recently became the latest Democratic leader to engage in a chest-pounding call to arms in resistance to the incoming Trump administration's plan to deport people who entered the United States unlawfully. While a post-election poll by YouGov for CBS News shows that a massive 73% of adults want President-elect Donald Trump to prioritize the repatriation of illegal migrants, the mayor pledged to not only have Denver police "stationed at the county line to keep (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) out" but also that "you would have 50,000 Denverites there." Johnston said it would be like a "Tiananmen Square moment" and answered yes when questioned whether he'd be ready to go to jail. That moment soon passed, however, as lawyers apparently explained to the mayor that armed resistance to the federal government is often called – wait for it – insurrection. This article's title doesn't mention the big issue: Bidementia's planned control of AI (!). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why this tech billionaire left a White House meeting last spring and endorsed Trump My ears always perk up when I hear that a lifelong Democrat has thrown his or her support behind President-elect Donald Trump. One of the biggest surprises of the 2024 election cycle was the sheer number of people who did just that. Two key factors drove this shift. First, many working-class voters finally grasped that the Democratic Party, which they had blindly supported for decades, had abandoned them. The second factor concerned Democrats at the opposite end of the economic spectrum — a group that included tech billionaires, hedge fund managers, and the ultrawealthy, many with direct access to the Biden White House. They saw that the line between democracy and authoritarianism had become blurred, or even erased in some instances, as party leaders shifted their focus from governance to the pursuit of power, showing a willingness to do whatever it took to acquire it and maintain it. Marc Andreessen, co-founder of the venture capital firm a16z, was part of this second group. In a Tuesday interview with podcaster Joe Rogan, he exposed the Biden administration's despotic plan to control artificial intelligence in the U.S. This bombshell revelation should have been front-page news last week; instead, it flew largely under the radar. Supreme Court Rules 8-1 In Favor Of Taking Turns Bonking Justice Sotomayor On The Head With Their Gavels WASHINGTON, D.C. — The government's judicial branch continued to methodically work through remaining cases before the upcoming holiday break, with the United States Supreme Court ruling 8-1 in favor of taking turns bonking Justice Sonia Sotomayor on the head with their gavels. As the court heard arguments on a number of high-profile cases involving gun rights, immigration, and gender surgery for minors, the justices took an impromptu vote to determine if they should line up to take turns whacking Justice Sotomayor over the head. Suspicious? Biden Pardons Hunter For Anything He Might Do Tonight Between 2:30 and 4:17 AM Outside The Capitol Heights Applebee's WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Biden issued another controversial pardon for his son Hunter this week which exonerates him for "what he may or may not do tonight between 2:30 and 4:17 AM outside the Capitol Heights Applebee's." "I hereby exempt my son from anything that may or may not occur at this very specific time behind the green dumpster outside Applebees," said Biden to a bust of Teddy Roosevelt he mistook for a reporter. 75% Of Elves Laid Off After Elon Musk Visits North Pole NORTH POLE — A somber mood reportedly spread quickly among the workforce at Santa's workshop this week, as 75% of the elves on staff were laid off after Elon Musk visited the North Pole. The SpaceX and Tesla founder had been invited to the workshop by Santa Claus himself as part of an initiative to streamline the toy-making process and make the workshop operation more efficient, which eventually resulted in massive layoffs. "His first suggestion was to just clean house," said Greg, an elf who was laid off after 30 years in the workshop. 'Allahu Akbar' Replaces 'Cheerio, Mate!' As Most Popular UK Greeting LONDON — A recent poll conducted by the University of Oxford just revealed that "Allahu Akbar" has officially replaced "Cheerio, mate!" as the most popular greeting in the UK. Biden's Presidential Library Might Be More of a 'Bookmobile' As Democrats Threaten to Withhold Donations Joe Biden's hopes of having a sprawling presidential library have taken a massive hit. Scientists Will Soon Say Farewell to Voyager 1 and 2, Probes That Altered Our Understanding of the Cosmos Gary Fladro, a Caltech graduate student working at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in 1965, conceived the idea for "The Grand Tour" of the solar system's outer planets. The idea was to fly a spacecraft to Jupiter and use the immense gravity of Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus to slingshot the probe all the way to Neptune. It would be far cheaper and take much less time for a "Grand Tour" than launching individual probes to each planet. The biggest problem for NASA was that the proper alignment of the outer planets only happens once every couple of hundred years. The next window required a liftoff in 1977. The space agency tasked JPL with the project, and the brainiacs at the lab got to work. It wasn't going to be cheap. The project cost between $750 and $900 million. Voyager 2 launched first and would visit both Jupiter and Saturn while detouring to make a close fly-by of Saturn's huge moon Titan. Voyager 1 went on from Saturn to Uranus and Neptune. How they could deadlock is beyond me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE: Judge Dismisses Manslaughter Charge in Daniel Penny Case After Jury Deadlocks [UPDATE 4:25 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6] The jury in the New York trial of Daniel Penny deadlocked a second time this afternoon, so around 3:30 p.m., Assistant District Attorney Dafna Yoran requested that the top count, manslaughter in the second degree, be dismissed. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Maxwell Wiley agreed and signed off on the request. The jury is now deliberating over the lesser charge, criminally negligent homicide, which carries no minimum sentence and a maximum of four years in prison. All these and many more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Opinion - President Biden is leaving Trump a shocking mess to clean up What an incredible mess Joe Biden will be leaving for Donald Trump on Jan. 20. It isn't just the $36 trillion in federal debt (up $13 trillion since 2020), which has increasingly (and foolishly) been financed by short-term borrowings; it is also inflation that refuses to die despite slumping energy prices, a Strategic Petroleum Reserve that has been drained to perilous levels, a weapons stockpile that is dangerously low, a Department of Justice that has lost the confidence of Americans, billions upon billions of taxpayer dollars that have been invested in losing enterprises (here's looking at you, Intel), an educational curriculum that teaches kids to hate their country but fails to deliver youngsters able to read and write, a housing crisis, a manufacturing slump and so much more.
