Damn - you need a whole other form for that?! Man, I wish USCIS would hire me as a consultant - I have so many ideas for streamlining their unnecessarily convoluted system, lol!

So, my box was delivered to the lock box on Friday the 4th of November. Payment was taken from the CC exactly 7 days later, and the letter just arrived today, Monday Nov 14th - exactly ten days later! If yours is on the same schedule, you'll get your letter exactly around TG!

Ignore my post - yes have just done some research and it appears it does. You know what would be really helpful? If USCIS actually said that on their own page re instructions for i-751. Ah well. Back to the printer to kill some more trees just to spend a ton posting it and have someone scan it all in the other end, because not like the internet is a thing that exists... lol

Thanks for your help, everyone! I have found the correct number, now. And it said it was delivered to my OLD address on Feb 26th - despite changing my address at the beginning of February 😄  Holy poop, and I thought Royal Mail was rubbish for taking 5 days to deliver one of my letters, 3+ weeks for USPS really takes the cake!

Well, I guess we had better get in touch with our old landlady and see if she will let us check the mailbox. What a pain! But at least it's...somewhere‽ lol

Enter the receipt number from the $220 greencard fee, not the original I-130 case number.

    Receive confirmation of your payment.
Once your payment is complete, you will be directed to the “Confirmation” page. We encourage you to print a copy of this page for your records. From here, you can pay for additional immigrants, return to the USCIS homepage, or exit your browser. You will receive a payment confirmation from ELISdonotreply@uscis.dhs.gov with the subject “Pay.gov Payment Confirmation: Immigrant Visa.” The email will include your receipt number beginning with the letters IOE. We encourage you to save this email for your records.

    Hello,

Go here to check the status of your greencard:  https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Enter the receipt number (IOE plus 9 digit number).

My wife also entered on Nov 25.  USCIS mailed the card to us on Dec 30.  We were one of the lucky ones that got ours relatively quickly.  But I payed the fee months in advance, in September.  I do not know if this had any affect.

The bottom of the CR1 visa in your passport should read "upon endorsement, serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year."

Your passport would have received an I-551 endorsement at POE good for one year. That’s proof of being a permanent resident. That can get you a driver license, allow you to work, or reentered the US from abroad just like the plastic card. You have until November to chase down your greencard. Whew!

Hey y'all. Never thought I'd be able to use wifi on a plane!

I'll and in LAX in two and a half hours, give or take. I can't express my excitement, relief and exhaustion now that all of this is finally coming to a close for realJust wanted to say another quick thank you. I can only imagine how awful this process would have been without you guys.

I know y'all just got some bad news about Christmas today and that absolutely sucks. But my fingers are crossed that processing remains normal with visa processing and everything still turns around fast. Stay safe everyone.

I thankfully dont own furniture and yet I've already filled up 4 boxes and I am still just halfway one room.

    God this is stressful.

The way I am trying to think about it is:
    - Does it have sentimental value, real value and/or will be hard to replace? - suitcase/ carry on.
    - Is it significantly cheaper and easier to just mail it ( and it is allowed)? - put in boxes.
    - Can I replace it easy and Im not too bothered about losing it - get rid of.

Since COVID, it's taking about 5 months from DQ to interview date. They appear to be allocating appointments in batches during the first week of each month. Obviously things could speed up or slow down at any time due to restrictions. Interviews are going ahead though right now, at least.

    Hey guys,
This is a Joyous Day.... APPROVED!
July 12th - Submitted documents to NVC.
    July 27th - Document Qualified.
November 13th - Email of December 14 appointment.
Checked in at Embassy 30 minutes before my 11:30 appointment time this morning and spent 40 minutes in total there. Most of the time spent waiting. Interview itself was 10 minutes.
    3 questions:
Where did you meet your husband?Where does he live?
When are you hoping to go to the USA?

They were all super friendly and helped me feel relaxed.
After he said, "I will approve you today""
I heard nothing else he said lol!
I was just relieved the process was over!

This has been quite a journey but it's all worth it.

Good luck to everyone with your interviews and for those waiting on interview dates, hang in there.

Just so y'all know, received my passport today at about 12 midday. Also received the news that my wife tested positive for covid. She's asymptomatic, and believe me my main concern is with her health, but alas - this will probably set us back another week or so. Should still make it in time for Christmas but... Meh. Not great news. Thankfully my test came back negative even though I still feel a little #######, but I think my symptoms may have been some kind of acute stress comedown (I really did feel rotten though, and i got swine flu at the same time as having 2 broken ribs so believe me I know what rotten feels like 😂)

Anyways, tl;dr: interview on 7th, 221g asking me to upload spouse 2019 1040, uploaded straight away, passport arrived on 10th.

You’re good to go. The UK “mockdown” (seriously, I can’t call that a lockdown but that’s just me...) has no bearing on your ability to leave the country and come here with your valid visa. Your immigration documents will be sent electronically so all you need is your passport, ticket, luggage and your good self.

No need to carry your marriage certificate. You’re traveling on a spousal visa.

But, I can now, finally, update my 221g situation! Yay!
