Yes. Both of you are right. I was wrong on this one.
Thanks for keeping me in check.
I went through the same process (my sister was the only joint sponsor as wife was zero income) 5 years ago. I already forgot how I self- filled those papers (I self prepared my AOS as I was a broke student).

    Sincere apologies to OP

In that case, yes, you file an I-864 and your mom files another I-864.  Your household count should be 2 (you and your husband).  Your mom's household count should also be 2 (your mom and your husband).

You cannot count your husband twice i.e on your end and your mom's
Your I-864 - Household of 1 i.e just you. Put zero for your income. On page 1 of this document, you should check box 1.a
Mom's I-864 - Household of 2, your mom and your husband. Her boyfriend does not count, as you already figured out. On page 1 of this document, she should check box 1.d

I'm trying to be good about updating sooo...May 7th saw the approval notice in the documents tab. May 10th status changed to approved officially. May 13th received a notification that my case was sent to NVC. An hour later I received the welcome letter in an email and was able to login and pay fees same day. Now we wait for fees to process and begin submitting documentation. Good luck to everyone and I hope your I-130s are finally starting to get approved!!

Direct Consulate Filing. VJ has a forum for DCF.

Now whether it is worthwhile switching when you are so far into the process is difficult to tell.

USCIS and state department expedite are two different beasts JA.
The State Department is very easy to work with when you are a USC trying to get your family home.

It is uncommon for a beneficiary to be expedited for a pending transfer or job offer however financial loss to the USC is a listed reason.
USCIS is done with your case, file the request through the DOS website
I’m giving this a high maybe.  Ask your company for something in writing.

these are the reasons USCIS states

USCIS may consider an expedite request if it meets one or more of the following criteria:
Severe financial loss to a company or person, provided that the need for urgent action is not the result of the petitioner’s or applicant’s failure to: File the benefit request or the expedite request in a reasonable time frame, or Respond to any requests for additional evidence in a reasonably timely manner; Urgent humanitarian reasons; Compelling U.S. government interests (such as urgent cases for the Department of Defense or DHS, or other public safety or national security interests); or Clear USCIS error.

More important you need to have US residency and US income established
and you need to have filed IRS taxes for the foreign income using the form 2555 to elude the foreign income if there is a tax treaty in that country with the US (amounts of exculsion vary year to year for 2020 it is $107,600

Okay I was never notified from USCIS I have the lawfully app and got a notification from them. I logged into USCIS and decided to check the documents tab because I'm paranoid of getting an RFE and there was actually an approval notice! So everyone just be sure to check your documents tab because your status may not update! For reference it took 311 days. TSC transferred to Potomac (idk when the transfer took place) Good news is coming you guys. It feels like it will never come until it does!

Just thought I'd pop in here to give a little hope. I'm a US citizen filed abroad online for my husband June 2020. Originally TSC but was transferred without notice (idk when) to Potomac. Today the case finally went under actively reviewed to approved within hours. I am at the tail end of the original TSC timeline. Don't give up hope if you've been transferred!!

Mine were just on received from the time I filed.  Then it switched to Actively Reviewing, Nothing Outstanding and within about 4 hours an approved NOA2 showed up under "Documents".  The status didn't update to approved until a day later.  So I guess if your status is Actively Reviewing, keep checking in "Documents" for the approval notice since that may update before the status does.
