Bob in Boston got a reaction from OldUser in B-2 extension
I dont recall anybody getting an approval on an extension. You dont want the overstay so better to leave before 94 expires.

In my experience they are approved together.

Bob in Boston got a reaction from Dashinka in Why is the NVC taking so long to send cases to the Embassy?
I dont think you will find it. Embassys march to the beat of their own drum and will blame each other if you go looking for answers. Patience is the key.

Bob in Boston got a reaction from smilingstone in DS-260 crime sections - Verdict Appeal
To the OP, Just because your conviction gets overturned on appeal does not give you a clean slate. You will have to produce police reports and after reading them the officers will have a picture of your personality. Just because you beat charges in court does not mean you didnt do it. Most of the time its because of a lenient Judge or sloppy police work. The officers will see through all that legal mumbo jumbo and deny you. Assaulting officers who pull you over is not taken lightly. Threats to do harm shows your violent way of thinking. Conviction is not needed to deny you as there are probably 100 other candidates to take your place. This is the consequences of your actions that day.

Bob in Boston got a reaction from OldUser in SSN in Phoenix AZ How Long?
I would give it a week or 2 after green card arrives. You could be pesky and show up at the SS office with your green card and tell them you want to apply.... if its already in the system youll get the number if not fill out application. Squeeky door gets the oil

99% of all lawyers give the rest a bad name.

Bob in Boston got a reaction from Allaboutwaiting in Just some gossip... about bad lawyers.
Our lawyer charged us about the same amount as the filing fee just to fill out the form. Seems once he found out how much money I made the process became a la carte. He also filled out an outdated 485 form and didnt even apoligize. Cost me 2 months processing.

Bob in Boston got a reaction from Lemonslice in Is a Google Voice number acceptable on USCIS forms?
As long as you answer the number when it rings then its a good number to give for a contact number.

Bob in Boston reacted to Redro in Wife failed, wants to file form N-336 to request a hearing. Any experience or ideas?
To vote (as an answer) is a little too simple… work with your wife on the why… why does she want to vote? If she had given a more full answer first time the follow up question most likely wouldn’t have been asked… this is why going to citizenship classes will be advantageous.it will help her with giving and practicing great answers.

That was the one that got her. We practiced the 400 questions over and over. I asked in different ways but we did not go over the possible surprise follow up questions except for the time spent out of the country.

Bob in Boston reacted to Crazy Cat in Joint Sponsor - Too Old?
Unless you are self-employed, what you earned last year is not important. What did you submit to show your CURRENT income?
BTW, 60 is still a spring chicken in my book. Her age will not be a factor.

Do an English class. By answering to Vote twice showed that she didnt understand the question. Answer should have been to choose the leaders or something. Her answer sounded rehearsed. Refile N400, and use the wait time to coach her. My wife has been here 24 years and still needs coaching from time to time. No Shame, I couldnt take a class in spanish or Tagalog and pass.

Bob in Boston got a reaction from OldUser in we denied your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status- 33 Days to leave to US need help advice what to do?
How did you come to the USA? If you snuck in you have problems. If you were let in by customs you should have an I-94 Somewhere. We had the same issue. She was inspected but I-94 was long gone. 4 I-102s later they found the 94.
