Like many have mentioned, I don’t see a big change in immigration reform, especially if the senate remains republican. Immigration has been an issue that neither party has had a good track record on.
 
However I am very happy that Stephen Miller will be far far away from immigration, and hope that the additional nastiness immigration has seen in the last 4 years can be reduced.

It’s a myriad of problems, including staffing, covid, overall USCIS incompetence, etc. It’s easy to point at Trump based on his anti immigration stand and just solely blame him (and believe me I detest Trump), and the EOs have affected a lot of folks, but it’s a multi faceted issue.

I don’t even think it’s that they’re doing nothing, I think they’re just super understaffed overall at the embassy level.
