Covid-19 has wreaked havoc on so many, in so many ways.
 
For those who are getting their citizenship under Covid-19 restrictions, and your significant others and loved ones cannot attend, here is a thought based on our experience:
 
We had my citizenship ceremony in March, at the next-to-last scheduled ceremony before the Covid-19 shutdown.
At the ceremony we took video cameras and videotaped EVERYTHING...from START TO FINISH.
Spouse even used a tripod and took a position at the front of the room - yet out of the way of others...and shot the entire ceremony!
Spouse sat right next to the Consular Officers. One even remarked - "We should hire you", to my spouse.
 
It is great to have captured it. We will cherish the video always.
 
So, maybe you can do something similar.
Just check with your USCIS Office (beforehand and on the day), to make sure they are okay with it.
At least then, you have something to share with all the people who might not be allowed in, and for those who are far away and would'nt have made it anyway.
 
And CONGRATULATIONS!
 
It was, and still is, a great feeling...to be DONE!

COVID is an international crisis that's affected far more than North America. It's not going to suddenly go away or cease being an issue after the election. Canada's government will continue doing what they want with the border and I don't think any changes in administration is going to stop the DHS from reciprocating it.

I like this article showcasing how the virus attacks, and easy to read. It's very much the scene portrayed in ICUs and the complexity of its treatments once someone is admitted. 

There was looting in Santa Monica and in a couple parts of LA (specifically on Melrose and at the Grove). This happened at the end of May and the consensus from police is that it was organized crime that took advantage of the protests and the great number of people out on the streets to burglarize and vandalize businesses. There really hasn't been anything remarkable here since then, and there have been protests all over LA/SM/Culver City/BH/WeHo/etc., almost every day, if not every day. It's very, very chill here. I can't predict anything, so yeah, of course something could happen. Most of the protests I've seen in the past month are groups of seniors of every ethnicity standing on corners of major intersections, holding BLM signs, pro-teachers signs, etc. I always honk and wave hi, and they wave back. 
 
Nothing in the news ever about riots or things being crazy around here. I have the Citizen app, and most of my notifications are about someone threatening another person with a skateboard or a person walking into a 7-Eleven with their pants off, demanding to speak with God. There was an incident at the end of July near LA City Hall I heard about, police were in a showdown with protesters, with a few people getting physical with cops, pushing and shoving on all sides. There was some minor vandalism, a few arrests. But the cops said it was just a few people vandalizing, not the group as a whole. Since then, nothing. This place isn't a tinderbox, and the cops have done a good job for the most part in not escalating things unnecessarily.

Hello guys from Chicago sunshine  I just landed safely today (24.06.2020) with my K1 visa, I flew from Dubai and my LA flight is tomorrow morning.... here is my travel experience which might be helpful for you guys. 
 
When checked in at Dubai airport, in start the counter lady said that my visa is not listed in their system and currently they are letting only US residents and citizens to fly in US i told her my visa is going to expire soon and i am not going their for tourism, anyway she called her colleague and sorted out this and let me to check in, flight was smooth with no social distancing  but everyone was using mask. I hope i did not get the virus  
 
When Landed in Chicago, it was quite busy at the immigration counters and took me around 45 min to reach the immigration officer, after greeting i handed over my passport along with immigration form and the embassy packet, the office was very nice man, he took finger scan and pic and open my packet and wrote few things on top of it and stamped my passport and handed over to me and told me that i need to get marry within 90 days ......NO QUESTIONS AT ALL ..... all process took 5 min and thats  it..... so K1 is not listed in the current and previous ban list. 
A long journey for us which was full of stress and patience like everyone else came to an end finally ...... I wish you guys all the best .....  

About time. It’s disgraceful that no elected representative stood up to the ban. How does banning F2A minor children of LPR’s save American jobs?

Unless the embassies want to provide food and beds I don't see how this is even possible. Since Covid is already rampant inside the US I don't know what he thinks this will do to stop the spread.

But you pointed out Los Angeles specifically, and they aren't happening. They happened. They might happen again. But happening? No.
 
I have some time before I have to do a wedding planning call with my mom and sister, we can bat this back and forth.

"Happening" implies that there are riots currently ongoing, not ones that have already occurred (i.e. it is the present continuous tense). Of course there could be some in the future, none of us have a crystal ball. But I wanted to make clear to people who may not be paying attention that there's nothing of the sort happening here now, nor has there been for almost two and a half months. Minor point but an important one I think. Call it boosterism.
