  1. It’s HIGHLY and strongly recommended to go to an SSA office with a GC to take that language off. Do yourself a favor - when presenting documents to an employer for I-9 purposes do NOT give your GC. Give a DL or a state ID AND an SSN card without the DHS restriction. If you give your GC, it’s highly probable they will ask for reverification when it expires even though it’s illegal for them to do that. There are many threads about this headache on this forum. Save yourself this headache by making that trip to the SSA office.

  9. *** Topic moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** There is not dependents for K1 as in you can’t “add” her to your DS-160. Each applicants needs their own DS-160 plus fee. I’m not sure regarding the interview part, perhaps reach out to the consulate and ask if both interviews can be on the same day (your interview date).

  17. Applying for a B2 is your only option if you want to have any chance of visiting. History of overstay and a USC significant other are major obstacles, especially the overstay as you have violated the terms and conditions of your VWP. It is unfortunate to have lost the privilege of being able to travel visa free, however such are the consequences of overstay, even if it’s a day long. If B2 is denied then he will have to petition you to immigrate or you can petition him to live in the Netherlands. I don’t see another option.
  18. Which authorities exactly? Police certificates are unavailable and thus not required for Pakistan. You can provide this official guidance form the Department of State: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Pakistan.html
  19. K1 applicants do not ever pay fees on NVC. Once the case shows Ready and the case is at the consulate, you pay on UStraveldocs site for your country.
  20. *** Topic moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** I believe JeanneAdil meant the US consulate in India. Yes, correct you will need to demonstrate to the US consulate it is a genuine relationship. Correct, you do not need to move.
  21. There an online appointment request form. I’ve never tried it but it has been launched by USCIS last year: https://my.uscis.gov/en/appointment/v2

  24. *** Topic moved from CR1/IR1 spousal visa forum to Bringing Family members (other than spouse) of US citizens forum where questions relating to sponsoring parents are discussed *** Actively reviewing status is absolutely meaningless so I wouldn’t worry about it at all.
